There won't be any co-op, it has been confirmed.
Achievements look like shit, though I don't care.
I expected something more amusing from Bethesda in that department.
The game looks awesome though, Can't wait for it

Better than,
You have no life - 50g
Find all the craftily camouflaged and hidden magic boxes.

Although they could have been more clever with the achievements.
It's the steam train whistle. Likewise, I doubt that the Fat Man is really powered by a microwave oven, but it makes the sound when a round gets loaded.
Either way, the Railroader's steam train whistle is going to be even more annoying than the microwave ding. At least with the Fat Man, ammo will be rare and thus the sound for loading it isn't going to wear thin.
Is it confirmed to be a microwave ding? Because it wasn't in the EA demonstration, and I only heard it at the very end of a song in another trailer.
Anyone have links to the PAX gameplay footage? The one that supposedly was to run for 45 minutes?
Just look closer and you'll see I'm right.

As am i, too.

If you didn't hear it in the latest videos, it may have been removed. Still, I think it was a talking point in an interview (sort of like how Todd Howard keeps saying that how they've done random encounters and the 'Mysterious Stranger' perk is 'really cool' without showing either of them).
Oh, that's another one to add to the OP in the Perks section:
Mysterious Stranger - Fail to kill a target after running out of AP in VATS and the Mysterious Stranger will appear to finish them off.

One Hundred and Twenty Nine Dollars Bucks. That what you just said.
On a less off-topic subject:  :krad:
Hvae any of you here been keeping up with the Penny Arcade strip on the Fallout site. Every Wednesday. Awesome Stuff.

Platform Nation interviewed Todd during PAX, there's a lot of info in it that I haven't heard anywhere else. He talks about everything from downloadable content, to PC achievements, to vaginas. This thing is 2 hours long, with about 33 minutes with Todd, I figured I'd post this here for anyone interested. Questions start 3 minutes in.
Also - Todd confirms enemies do not level up with you in Fallout 3! :excited:

Almost everything you mentioned was basically confirmed a year ago when it was first announced...
Todd and the boys have a habit of doing that. I swear, it's like no one's noticed everything that we've been shown and told has been repeated before. Most of this game's fans are flying blind (or at least, after the gameplay videos, very shortsightedly) for how most of the information they're getting and each hands-on is just regurgitated in a slightly different way for every site and magazine article.
Edit:
New stuff is rare.

Well, excuse me for trying to contribute something. It may shock you, but not everybody has been following Fallout 3's progress since day one.
And it's still news to some people. Like me
This also means there are some high powered baddies out there that may need more than a good old fashioned P-P-POWER FIST to dispose of.
I hope there is alot of them, I like a challenge without changing the difficulty bar.

Awesome.
Edit:
Do you guys think if it's actually possible to injure the enemies so that they surrender?
Awesome.

from what i saw in an old video. They can cower from you. (The guy was pelting the chick with teddy bears and she crouched and held her head until she was gibbed by a teddy bear in VATS)

Mysteryman? So you're the bloke who will turn up and help me out of nowhere? :v:

Yeah, I just hope they realize not to shoot me when I turn my back.
I imagine that you can injure them until they stop fighting. Then maybe you can talk to them and demand all their money and items or you kill them. That's what I hope there is anyway.

No time for injury only death! FIRE THE FATBOYS!
Anyone knows if there is still essentials?

You mean like essential NPCs? Unfortunately yes, but they have reduced them a lot.

Damn i hate those guys.
It would be cool if you could nuke a city, then the essentials are outside of the city with some shitty history about how he is alive. :v:

Yeah, they were the second stupidest thing in Oblivion, and it works even less in a game like this.
I imagine that you won't be able to kill Burke from the get go. Bethesda's quests can be very strict with that sort of thing and it sounds like they've planned it out with the death threats and Sheriff Simms.
I wonder how many different endings there are.
I wonder how many different endings there are.
According to Bethesda, many. Of course, that's like saying you have a game with 500 different weapons which are all reskins of about twelve models and minor variations on archetypes (i.e. counting a Shortsword of Spark +1, +2, +3, etc. as separate weapons).
Edit:
At least there's likely to be closure regarding the places you've visited. I liked knowing that my actions had some hefty consequences wherever I went in both games.
I think they said 200 ending,or it was really old news.
My bet is they going to make 3 endings(One for each Karma) and then make like, lots of sub-endings. :3:

last interview they said 1000, but most of them have to do with minor things such as race and gender combines with the big things.

:tizzy: No fair! Who wouldn't want this guy's hat right from the get go? It's worth the trip to jail, I honestly believe.
