Just pre-ordered the collectors edition from Eb's. Can't wait for it's release :D
Does GAME sell stuff in the US? Also what is their website.
http://www.game.co.uk/ i don't see anything that says they ship outside of the UK and Ireland, so i don't think they ship to the US.
It's our gamestop, but with less offers
shit I need to go preorder fallout 3
shit I need to go preorder fallout 3
me too
Gentlemen, I have a modest proposal. Would anyone with the know-how be willing to put TF2 sound effects onto the parts where the Toddinator breaks out the power fist and kills some raiders with it?
I like the sound of that
This thread is not fast enough. I hope there will be mods for a chainsword. :)
This thread is not fast enough.
It'll get faster when the game is released. Much faster.
Until then, I think we can all agree we need to keep this thread alive with what little irradiated groundwater leaks from the great information pipeline we can find. Would plot / voice actor cast details and brief profiles of each location be too spoilerific for this thread?

Question:Will we be able to help/join other people that are looking around in the wasteland? I wonder what kinds of creature we will see on the wasteland... Edit: Oh and i just looked at the archievements. Complete this, complete that, kill that many people, collect this... Do you mean the game just have that many quests the archievements are saying?
Answer: no. Nearly all of the armed humans you encounter in the Wasteland will be hostile, from Raiders all the way up to Enclave. Also, the achievements suck.
Answer: no. Nearly all of the armed humans you encounter in the Wasteland will be hostile, from Raiders all the way up to Enclave
So,no friend? :< Well,i will just nuke them all to hell,that nuke weapon have a name? And,all i need it's that dog,by the way,the dog have a name? :3:
Only mercenaries, who join you based on quests, money and karma. 'That nuke weapon' is the Fatman, a nuclear catapult which characters who are weak in combat, but strong in anything pertaining to science and technology can use to overcome large groups of enemies or 'boss' enemies. Dog's name is Dogmeat, perhaps the only character to survive all three games.
Another Question: Do we get the dog on a main quest or a side-quest, and do we need the dog to finish the game? Mercenaries, woot. Yeah, now that i got all info i need,i am going to buy this game.Oh and we only get that cool metal armor if we join some faction or we can kill someone with that armor and steal it? :3:
He's optional. Considering where you find him, I'd be surprised if you don't stumble upon him on your first playthrough. The 'cool metal armour' is power armour. It sounds like you'll just be able to kill someone and steal it due to now being able to get armour off NPCs, but you need a perk in order to use it.
I got the last pre-order at my local blockbuster. I hear were one of the first to have 'The Black Knight" ordered for delivery. Oh hey clear sky is released.

AKA THE EASYMODER Dog's name is Dogmeat, perhaps the only character to survive all three games.
The odd thing about Dogmeat is that he was only in Fallout 2 as a special encounter, so it felt like he was replaced by K-9. I really want to see a next gen version of Harold the friendly ghoul, another character that was in FO1 and FO2. Hopefully he'll come in some kind of ghoul migration to DC
Pft, friendly ghouls are going to be as rare as uncontaminated food. We've seen two (Megaton barman; I was expecting them to play that down after having the gimmick of an unexploded nuclear bomb in the middle of town; ghoul trying to get into Tenpenny Towers) and I'm willing to bet that there won't be many more than that
they updated prepareforthefuture.com it's really cool take a look

Also, am I the only one who remembers Harold?
He can't really attack you if you sneak a grenade into his pocket. :)
Looks like it's time to wait the long wait before this comes out, it's thumb-twiddling time.
Is there a lot of hype surrounding this game? I haven't been paying that much attention. It frusterates me to read your writings.
I never played Fallout 1 or 2. And i like friendly ghouls. Anyway, you guys think i should buy Fallout 1 or 2 or both? I never heard of Fallout until Fallout 3, so i don't know any characters from other games. :3:

I think Fallout 1 had a much more solid plot, Fallout 2's was a little shaky but it was more open-ended.
Answer: no. Nearly all of the armed humans you encounter in the Wasteland will be hostile, from Raiders all the way up to Enclave
I'd like to see the sources for this.
Dog's name is Dogmeat, perhaps the only character to survive all three games.
There were like 30 years of time between Fallout 2 and 3.
Pft, friendly ghouls are going to be as rare as uncontaminated food. I CAN't WAIT! Fallout 3 is the new epic game, It will be the best game in history made from humanity. Oblivion whas great to.
I'd like to see the sources for this.
You can't honestly expect the Wasteland to be full of friendly folks. Bethesda usually have an unspoken rule: if it's out in the wilderness and armed enough to take care of itself, it's almost always there for you to grind on.
There were like 30 years of time between Fallout 2 and 3.
This is a dog which could tear up a couple of raiders if they're close enough, then move on to another one in the space of one turn. It's been established that this isn't any normal dog, attack or otherwise.
Again, source please.
'Willing to bet'. That doesn't originate from a source, that's an estimate. Given how a lot of games these days rarely give us much beyond what we're shown in trailers and videos and most of the people this is getting marketed to would rather waste zombies than talk to them, there probably isn't going to be that many more friendly ghouls. Edit: Honestly, with all these challenges you're putting towards me, I wouldn't be surprised if you're just doing this because I don't like the idea of Fallout 3. It's like trying to talk sense to a frequenter of Game Trailers.
