My father showed me the computer when I was like 4 or 5, I still remember when he was playing Doom. I quickly started playing Doom, then Quake and finally Half-Life (in a sequence). Actualy we play HL1 and 2, CSS, COD (coop modes), Crysis, L4D and many other games, I'm lucky to have someone to play with me often..
My dad introduced me to PC gaming when I was 10. He built me a PC and let me play TF2 on his account. After a while, I got my own account.
I wish I still talked to my dad. He got me into PC gaming when he bought me all the parts for a PC and told me to assemble it. I had no idea what I was doing, so I asked him for some help, and we got the thing set up. One day, we were bored, so we installed Quake III Arena and just had LAN matches with the bots, and it was so fun. He used to play TF2 and Garry's Mod with me, but I haven't seen or talked to him in three years, so that doesn't happen anymore.
Well you guys are lucky to actually have fathers.
My dad used to play Mortal Kombat with me when I was around 7-8. He showed me how to do all the fatalities....
The only game my parents play is Tetris. To which I always kick their arses. :v:
My dad called me a bitch shooter at Duck Hunt. He took the gun, dominated and then told me to try better.

Me and my dad used to play BF2 but he doesn't have a PC so we can't play BC2 :<
My dad plays TF2 as a heavy too. Though funny watching him play, he turns his chair and body at the same time he turns ingame :v:
must be fun to watch him play.
Since divorce I haven't been much with my dad, since he used to get way too often drunk and always nags about not playing video games because "games fucks up you, it does not give you job". Though it was good times when I was little kid and he played with me Goldeneye on N64 and Super Mario World on SNES.
My father literally does not know how to hold a PS3 controller. It is impossible for him to grasp this simple concept: keep pushing the analog stick forward, while you shoot. He just can't do it.
Well no shit the Any PlayStation controller is impossible to use
I think the newest game my dad has played was The Beatles Rockband. he got annoyed with the controller and quit to play Beatles songs on a real guitar. he said the only good thing about that game was the songs and the animations.
I am a very uncoordinated person... I cannot play games like Guitar Hero/Rockband/Even DRR (or the keyboard versions of any) for the life of me. I envy those who can. :saddowns: I'm only good at sidescrollers.... And FPS games, on a good day.
I also kind of realized that he looks like the Heavy.
Show us a picture.
Me and my dad play TF2 together sometimes when he's home from the middle east (he works over there with some contracting company, cool stuff. Also he's bad at TF2 and only knows how to play heavy and pyro :v:) and we played a little with the halloween update together. He found a halloween gift and gave me the soldier hat that he got from it :buddy:
I also kind of realized that he looks like the Heavy.
Post pics. of him eating a sandwich.
The only entertainment my dad gets is from Rock,Tennis,Football(Soccer) and Travelling/Eating/Cooking Shows [editline]4th November 2010[/editline]
Well no shit the Any PlayStation controller is impossible to use
:colbert: i can play shooters with the Playstation controller just fine
Me and my dad would play bf2 all day together, and also on big game launches (like gears of war 2) I missed school and we played coop all day together to finish the campaign
My dad got me into shooters since Doom... which came out when I did. I grew up with shooters cuzzah him.
My dad is a Console Gamer at 48. It's fucking hilarious to see him swear when he dies, but he enjoys himself and that's the point. Also he's a Crack shot with a sniper rifle on Halo:Reach :v:
http://www.youtube.com/user/R0KL0bStEr 41 years old, plays games more than his kids do.
My dad plays all doom games, and quake games, wolfenstein. Really cool.
I wish my dad still played video games. I remember he used to play Mario kart 64 with me when I was 5, and it was fun as hell too! I miss those days. Now all he does is complain about video games and how they are "too fast".
My father introduced me to half-life and all of that stuff. He plays Day of Defeat Source these days.
This makes me wish my dad still played games. After Quake 2 every thing started to become too complex according to him, even though we played the shit out of it. Sigh, coming home from school and playing Red Alert 1, I miss those days. :( I did try to get him into HL1 though, shame he didn't like it.
My dads the whole reason I got into gaming. He's the one who got me a Nintendo 64 and PS2. 2 days after HL2 released he made a STEAM account and bought HL2, and we played it and beat it. He also got me into DOOM, Unreal Tournament games and Return to Castle Wolfenstein and an older Call Of Duty game (probably the first or second one). He gave me his STEAM account I continue to use today. He sadly passed away from a major heart attack back in 2007. RIP dad :(.
My dad always gives me shooters. He like CoD and then we play split screen :3
Recently, I`ve been letting my Father use my Steam account to play games like Peggle and Plants vs. Zombies. I came home from school today and started playing TF2 as usual. He walked over and asked if He could see the point of the game. After explaining different aspects of gamemodes and maps like 2Fort and Gravelpit, He started to understand what was going on. He`s starting to play it himself now, He set himself up a new steam account and is playing an extra version of TF2 I had on it. His favorite class is the Heavy, and he was amazed when he unlocked the Sandvich. I also kind of realized that he looks like the Heavy.
[editline]4th November 2010[/editline]
My dads the whole reason I got into gaming.
