Umineko no Naku Koro ni - Brick Shitting, In Visual Novel Form!

I don't normally play VNs but Umineko has a brilliant story
I plan to. I just don't like people hyping and being dumb.
It got 20 related posts in FA. You did give a shit, clearly, otherwise no one would have posted anything Umineko-related.
Then why not just discuss it in FA if people responded to it well there?

Because I went to bed shortly after posting this thread and didn't see the vast majority of the responses.
why is Natushi's ponytail a different colour from her hair
Visual Novels are like books, but they are still considered games but people usually refer to them as just simply "visual novels".
In most visual novels, you only get to choose out of a few actions once every while which usually affects the story in one way or another. In some VN's, there's even gameplay.
OP, you should take the others' advice; don't make any threads involving anything Japanese in FP
This is as much of a game as Phoenix Wright or Hotel Dusk. I don't see people complaining about how those aren't really games. It's also ridiculously long; other than a bunch of infodumping at the beginning of EP1 masqueraded as discussion of the weather, none of said ridiculous length is made up of padding.
because hotel dusk is an adventure game and phoenix wright had you collect/present evidence in between the powerpoint.
this is just a powerpoint presentation, next>next>next>next>next

you really are a troll
as much a "game" as them?
why not list a real game
how about fuck off
Guess what? FP hates anime and anime related things so nobody except for the people in Fast Anime even care about this "game". So yes, FP will ignore this VN except to troll it. It isn't to "in depth" as you call it for FA, we just didn't give a shit.
VN threads HAVE NOT gone over well on FP you dolt. They get trolled to shit.
Also that Dr. Who example is terrible.

You can't deny the charm of Phoenix Write though.
the katawa shoujo thread went pretty well unless you count the people who started to talk about 4chan even though it said that it wasn't really 4chan related apart from the creators.

oh ho you're so cool I bet you go on Halo 3 ODST and curse people out while drinking root beer
you can't drink real beer because you're quite clearly under the age of 12
i'm still pretty sure this isn't much of a game but instead a computer book
...Sea Cat?

True, but that thread no longer counts due to the fact that it was banished to the custom forums.

i don't even own an xbox; what are you smoking my dear troll?
I have ODST and watch anime. You're a douche OP.
And no, I don't watch mainstream shit.

Same here, actually. However, just because you and some other intelligent people play Halo, doesn't mean that the vast majority of its players aren't absolute retards.

My guideline is whether or not GameFAQs and Wikipedia consider it a game.
Both agree that it is, therefore in my opinion it fits here. And if it's not a game then where else would I put this thread? Clearly not GD, I'd get chased out for liking Japanese things, and as far as I know the anime subforum was removed.
...Sea Cat?
Seagull. But yeah, "Seacats" or "Seakitties" is a common nickname for Umineko.

It's not a game. It requires no user input beyond starting the program or loading a save point. The player has no choices to make that affect the outcome of the story. All you do is watch text endlessly scroll by until it ends.
It's basically an audio book with pictures shoehorned in. It didn't even need to be a computer "game". It could easily have been a pack of CDs and the effect would have been the same.
Hidden =/= removed

I have to agree with this.
The art in this VN is... not very good.
Oh hey, Umineko thread. Ancient Umineko thread, but still.
Anyone else excited for ep 6?

Art in VNs in general is not exceptional.
I'll wait for it to be fully translated.
