I want the polymer renderer. Now.
Me too! :EDIT: Found it Plagman the Eduke32 developer posted this on Duke4.net forums.
There is a Polymer HRP. You need to check it out using a SVN client from this address: http://svn.eduke32.com/polymer_hrp/ I also zipped a package from a few weeks ago that you can get there: http://plagman.net/polymer_hrp.zip. Note that you can't just use it as a loadable resource in EDuke32, you'll have to unzip it.

Titties titties I love titties. :v: DN3D is one of my favorite childhood games, I used to be really good at mapping, now I can't even make a door. And these 3D mods and stuff are really awesome, but I prefer the original graphics, don't get the nostalgia feeling from the 3D mods.
Ya can get it here if anyone interested http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/duke_nukem_3d_atomic_edition
Hawt, but looks a tad too dark
Looks kind of like Doom 3 to me
ITT: Duke Nukem quotes. 'It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and I'm all outta gum!' 'Shake it, baby!'
The developers have even said they wasted all the time and money on WoW.
And yet another reason to hate world of warcraft.
Ya can get it here if anyone interested http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/duke_nukem_3d_atomic_edition
Why buy it? There's a shareware version now: http://www.3drealms.com/downloads.html Sorry, just found out this is the demo version :(
My god the HR pack download keeps freezing.
Yeah, I had to download it using the basic svn exe from a command prompt, not tortoise or any other svn client. Use it like this:
svn co http://svn.eduke32.com/polymer_hrp/ <path to install to>
I just kept clicking Resume in Opera and eventually it worked.
It's amazing how much modding can make a game from 1996 look like a modern game. [editline]08:32AM[/editline]
Me too! :EDIT: Found it Plagman the Eduke32 developer posted this on Duke4.net forums.
how do i use it :(
The only thing I hate about Duke Nukem is keycard hunting. It gets in the way of kicking alien ass.
It's amazing how much modding can make a game from 1996 look like a
It's even more amazing how a mod team gets more shit done than the DNF team. That and truckloads of money less of a budget.
It's even more amazing how a mod team gets more shit done than the DNF team. That and truckloads of money less of a budget.
I say they should form a new engine using polymer and eduke32 technology: Easy map making with today's graphics.
I'm playing Duke 3D at the moment.
Oh, and watch out for Protozoid Slimers.
Goddamn, GODDAMN Protozoid Slimers.
I'll try to find it, there was a big thread about it a while ago [editline]11:18PM[/editline] actually just look on the wikipedia page, everything is there
Oh god, I hope this is true. Hopefully they rehired their old employees.
Ha ha oh wow. I just realized that my Duke 3d disc has Duke Nukem 1 and 2 on it.
Wasn't the very first Duke Nukem a kids game or something? I remember it being in the style of Commander Keen or something like that. My mother played it.
Wasn't the very first Duke Nukem a kids game or something? I remember it being in the style of Commander Keen or something like that. My mother played it.
First 2 games were kids games, duke 3D was a sudden change.
Thats what I thought. They did the same thing with Conker in Conkers Bad Fur day, he was a children's game character. Heck he was in Diddy Kong's racing for the N64.
Also, you can play online with a third party program called yang, http://ny.duke4.net/ you should get xduke as well as eduke to play online since most people use it.

Then id didn't let Apogee publish Doom, so they made Duke Nukem 3D a Doom clone anyway. :v: DNF was probably a Quake clone originally.
Damn I look gooood Damn I look gooood Damn I look gooood
it's time to make cracks

Duke Nukem 3D is an example of truly excellent game design. Even playing through it recently I was really impressed with the awesome level, weapon, and monster designs.
