How to calm yourself down when raging at video games?

Anger in video games is just a way socially inept quiet people release their pent up rage in a really pathetic way, by yelling at invisible computer people.
I don't know what's scarier, a bunch of people willing to admit that they get upset at video games or the fact that they're confiding in eachother about something that 8 year olds do
Seriously if you get angry at video games how do you even function in the outside world
How does getting angry because you lost in a video game differ from getting angry because lost a football match, for example?
Because apparently the latter is more socially accepted.
EDIT: Unless of course you're going to say that getting angry at things like losing a football match is just as "socially inept" in that case, congratulations on having an emotion span of a spoon.

I never said that,
I think that's just as pathetic

Actually yeah if you get upset at a game of any kind you are pretty fucking stupid. When people get angry they have potential to break things and hurt people. As far as me having the emotional span of a spoon goes, congratulations on having no self control whatsoever. I get angry at things that are worth getting angry about
How can you even take tf2 seriously?
I suppose we all should live according to "Keanu Reeves' Guide to Human Emotions" otherwise we're all pathetic socially inept bunch of nerd, amrite?

Which is what i've been suggesting, how? If you yell at games you'll embarrass yourself and people will think you're a moron / wierd so I guess this just kind of works itself out anyway.
And nice way of breaking down the complexity of the human psyche the way you have, you're either yelling at video games or are a completely emotionless robot
i get mad when i get killed in MP FPS games because i picture some fat greasy nerd fapping to the fact that he killed me in a video game and enjoying it
also it sounds retarded but i feel bad when i kill people in games sometimes because i know it's frustrating to get killed
i dunno i'm weird

Please quote the part where I said that "being angry" = "yelling".
Not only your logic is flawed but you apparently also illiterate.

Fantastic use of semantics there
(angry people yell)
Anger - /ˈæŋ.ɡɚ/
Anger is a normal emotion with a wide range of intensity, from mild irritation and frustration to rage, related to one's psychological interpretation of having been offended, wronged or denied.
trying to be condescending to win an argument just doesn't work...
I'm sorry

Flawless piece of logic right there.

Okay let's remove yelling from the equation. You're sitting at a computer playing a videogame and you're visibly angry (brow furrowed, etc).
That's still wierd.
Or maybe, what's even wierder - is continuing to play the game despite being upset at it and keeping the emotions pent up inside you.

That's the only weird thing
Here listen to this

Fuck even I find myself smiling.

So, your reasoning for why getting angry at video games makes you "socially inept" is because "it's weird"? What is this, debate class in third grade or something?
Okay, let's me give you an example.
I play a competitive game of some sort, doesn't matter what game it is, and I get beaten in a situation that I thought that I would win in.

The natural reaction for a properly functioning human being in this case is get a normal emotion of anger that would vary between mild irritation and frustration to rage because he's been denied the victory he thought was in his grasp.
Even if we follow your hilarious logic of "being angry is weird", how weird is it really if I turn off the game, go to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee and then come back to play?
To sum it all up. Just because you're angry doesn't mean that you're going to yell and break things. Being angry is natural. Expressing anger in extreme ways (yelling, breaking things) is usually socially unacceptable.

I would imagine that confusion fits better than anger in that situation
And games are for fun, that's why I think it's weird to get mad at them
Because it's a form of entertainment, why would you play something that makes you upset?
When I die in a game it's fun for me because I'll learn what I did wrong and correct it the next time.
Also trying to be condescending and nitpicky again, looks kind of desperate
Also I never said being angry is weird, being angry at videogames is weird. It's a really petty thing to get angry at, grow up and you might realise this
To be honest Captain Forever you are coming off as the weird person here, desperately trying to prove to everyone how not emotionally invested you are at things.
In a game I just shout curse words(not on the mic, no one needs to know I'm angry and they don't give a shit either way.)
Cursing has been proven to vent anger so just do it, even if you need to have a pillow nearby to scream into.
And games are for fun, that's why I think it's weird to get mad at them
What about the Super Mario games?

I can agree that game are generally made for fun but I believe that games like Starcraft are more of a sport than a game.
Personally I don't have fun playing Starcraft, just like people who play chess competatively don't have fun playing chess.
What about the Super Mario games?
Are you trying to say mario is not for fun
Are you trying to say mario is not for fun
It is fun, but I can't stop dying every damn time.

Wait what. Why wouldn't someone who devotes their life to chess have fun doing it? Chess isn't a job required to maintain an infastructure, it's a HOBBY.
Sport is recreational. Sports are games. Games are fun.

You haven't given a single proper argument so far while I gave you plenty. If you ask me, you're the one who look desperate.
It is fun, but I can't stop dying every damn time.
That's why the kirby games are better

Yeah, Kirby's cool.
