Is there a guide to survival mode /indev anywhere? I can mine with my hands and get basic blocks, but I have no idea whatsoever on how to do anything else :D

Yeah you saved your files in one of the slots but there's a button to save the file on your computer I believe

Closest thing to one is the [url=http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Crafting]crafting page.[/url] It tells you how to make everything. With that knowledge, go on to make whatever you want, have climatic battles, etc.

Not pictured: The huge cavern system underneath the castle. The first chamber has a crafting table and is sealed from the outside world and well lit. This leads down into a very complex cavern system. It is mostly lit up but some monsters still spawn. I placed sand blocks which guide your way back to the first chamber and most of the subsequent chambers have been drained. If it hasn't been drained, it's unexplored.
Eventually you should see further downward paths. Some lead to dead ends while a few lead to deeper caverns. Most is uncharted and I still discover new caverns. One I accidentally (read: curiously tested but forgot to reload.)flooded. It was a huge lava pit with vast natural resources, but I probed the ceiling and was right under the ocean :frown:
Additionally, there are many torches dotting the outside. These are caverns I have marked. Also the more torches I used to mark them with, the more important they are. One entrance on an island (the only island one) which you should see quickly leads to lava pits with good resources. I also used many torches to mark deeper caverns in the underground complex. I haven't mined much diamond (about 22, all in inventory)and only about 70 gold as the most resources I used were to build the castle.
I highly recommend downloading this because it's one of the best generated maps so far. The huge mountain, with a small amount of terraforming, was flattened out enough to make a castle. Most of the dirt underground blocks off unlighted caves which you should explore except for the dirt in the first chamber, directly underneath the castle.

I had an awesome village complete with castle on Indev and I didn't save and I was bumrushed by sniper skeletons in my mine.

Try building an underwater fortress. I'm getting kind of bored too, so I'm either going to do that, or wait until multiplayer indev comes out.
Yeah it's awesome to build a pipe in the middle of the ocean and then dig through it and create an underwater fort

Allows OPs to only let certain people into the server, to prevent griefing.
However, it's usually better to ask Notch for a server password ability.

Thanks, I figured out the solid thing long before but I removed the blocks I spawned because I didn't know it would change texture to the OPblock after a short moment :p
