You're so late I should clock you upside the head, but I will not. Instead, I offer this:
In creative (and survival) long ago, Notch tried to implement weather before indev was even thought of. He set F5 to make it rain and told the community and everything was well-received, but then he started work on Indev and removed the feature. However, by now the WOM client was being widely used, and it hasn't been properly updated since before rain was taken out, so it will still happen when you press F5 in the client (and creative, I think).
The infdev test is pretty awesome. Can't wait until he finishes the fixed version of it.
Why does it give you 990 glass and 990 crates to begin with though?

Nig-- I mean, Notch needs to add hostile an friendly humanoid populated settlements for use in minecraft. They should also advance through ages real slow and have to collect blocks of different stuff to make stuff, like us.

I do type the command /lava but it says "Unkown command" I've already OP'ed myself...

I can't decide which is better in that video, the in character voice or the out of character voice
Vanilla server software does not allow you to spawn liquids.

What is in the indev version? Does that mean ruins are randomly generated as well?
So is the indev worth it, or will he make a free release eventually?

There are no pre-generated structures besides your small spawn house.
