Well for one how would we know, survival MP isn't even out yet, we don't know how people are going to act. I rented the game once, but it was apparently bugged or something. The ocarina never worked.
SO, I spent a little while figuring out how long the game is without that.
3 days is translated to 1 second per minute, 1 minute per hour, and an hour and 12 minutes of staring at the progressively larger moon.

Spent around 3 or 4 hours chopping trees to make a Giant wooden fort. After a while I got bored and set it on fire. Several hundreds of blocks burning, fucking cool.

You can already do that, only difference is now you have to manually find a spot on your HD to save and load, when it comes out you will just press a button to do it all.
