It's not underrated it's just a bad game.
[editline]11:23PM[/editline]
good concept though
It had the bad fortune of coming out along with lots of other games that centered around time manipulation during that whole craze, so the concept wasn't nearly as original as it would've seemed in comparison.
Well I thought Timeshift was a lame Blinx knockoff (and Blinx was already bad) in first person and wasn't that great of a game.
The old demo for this was fun, but I got this and it seemed horrible.
I only played it for like 10 minutes and decided it to not play it again, maybe it wasn't that bad but I just didn't like it.

Did you play the demo for 10 min or the whole game for 10 min?
I played the whole game for about 30 minutes, quit, uninstalled, and then broke the disk.
This is horrible.
I don't get you guys. I bought the game, played it for over an hour and am still playing it. It's awesome.
Thought this game was pretty average. With good time manipulation.
I would've got it, if it was more popular.
Multiplayer is damn fun on a LAN.
In no other game can you reverse the bolt from a crossbow fired at you, causing it to hit the person who shot it. Also, using a reverse bubble to launch yourself to high places never gets old.
The blimp defense part was kind of dumb but the game gets really good after that. That's when you meet most of the hard enemies with actual powers.
I'll give it that, the time manipulating was well done and good, but the game itself felt like a cheap Quake 2 knock off
The blimp defense part was kind of dumb but the game gets really good after that. That's when you meet most of the hard enemies with actual powers.
Was easy. Focus on a plane, slow time, kill it, repeat.
Was easy. Focus on a plane, slow time, kill it, repeat.
It was easy, just dumb, Definantly no reason to quit the game.
I bought this for 15$ a few months ago, played it through and thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely above average if you ask me (Single player anyways)
The demo was extremely cool, might actually get it.
I'm at the part where I think I'm supposed to enter a tank and destroy another tank that just destroyed some gate, and I have no idea how to enter the tank.
i snipped this post

Try X

No, you can't enter the tank. Blow it up AFAIK with some explosive barrels, when the tank destroys the gate slow/stop time, and run through the gate into the subway tunnels.
GAMEPLAY SCREENSHOTS PLEASE
I'm not going to discuss about a game if you don't even show screenshots of the actual gameplay.

Timeshift, the most underrated game I've ever come across.
These screenshots don't necesarrily show you timeshift in all it's glory, simply because it's a pain to take screenshots mid combat, so I just set it to take one every 10 seconds. These are some of the best.
Basically, for anyone that hasn't played timeshift, it's an fps in which you have the ability to slow down, stop, and reverse time.
Unfortunately, you aren't the only one with that power.

These motherfuckers can stop time. How many games have enemies that stop time?

Better shot.

Not just stopping time, there's enemies which slow down time, which basically, for you just translates into them moving really fast. BTW in this screenshot time is going backwards, although a picture doesn't really do the effect justice, you gotta see a video. And see all those red dots on the minimap? Every single one of those are people that can slow down time. And they just keep on spawning.

Charging up!

What's happening in this picture is for you to decide.

Sexy textures.

You're in a big factory with those giant machines that pound on the conveyor belt. Did you really not see this coming?

Yes, that black thing in the middle of the cursor is the bullet he just fired. You can pull off totally badass bullet dodges that make you feel like neo. Not to mention that if you get stuck with a grenade you can go back in time to the point where the guy just throws it, and you can move to the side to not get hit by it.

Gore!

More Gore!

Double Headshot!
Somebody please tell me what he's doing with his hand?

^^ A post I made a while ago, include ingame pics. Seriously, the op stole the words right outta my mouth.

You seem like a really irrational person. I don't think the devs would even want you to play their game.
[editline]01:17PM[/editline]
Is there a cheat where you can have infinite time power? If so I'm getting this.
No, but you can download trainers to do that for you. They make it so you have infinite stop time and slow time, but you can't make it have infinite reverse because it's scripted into the code, so it's impossible to actually go back farther than the usual.
[editline]01:22PM[/editline]
Timeshift was Ok, the multiplayer was so fucking laggy though it was ridiculous, "Lol look i can throw TIME GRENADES Make you slow down and shoot the fuck out of your character while he's caught in the radius.
What the fuck did you expect.
Let me break this down for you:
Timeshift multiplayer without any actual timeshifting would have been extremely disappointing. Not an option.
Making you be able to stop and slow down time just like in singleplayer is impossible in multiplayer, I'm not going to bother explaining this, you should be smart enough to realize why. Not an option
Therefore, the only other option would be timeshift 'zones' as done with grenades. I think they pulled it off excellently, lets see if you have a better Idea on how they should have made multiplayer. Like already stated, in how many games can you throw down a reversetime grenade and have a sniper try to shoot you and have the bullet bounce back into his own head?
I loved putting down a time stop grenade in a choke point where all these people were, then shooting a rocket into the bubble as well.
Good times.
[editline]06:02PM[/editline]
SP sucked though.
I don't know what to do, I try to open the demo and it says that I don't have the right video drivers or something, but Windows says that I can't update them or anything. I have ATI AMD Radeon 4850.

Actually, the devs did consider the timeshifting abilities from sp in mp, they called it Fun For One. They then ditched the idea and went with the grenades option.
Also, you can just activate your shield and walk through the zones without trouble.
I loved this game and I played through it twice.
I'd wish you could use your abilities for longer periods of time.
I played the demo when it came out and it was very disapointing, it felt bad and the shooting was kind of horrible.
Game is nice, horribly programed though.
Runs super smooth but then with no apparent reason it's super slow like with 2-3fps. after some time it runs smooth again
Isn't this that game where they released a demo and it sucked so bad that they completely scrapped the game and started again from scratch?
I remember playing the demo to an FPS where you could manipulate time and make time bubbles that stopped bullets and shit. It was horrible, but maybe it was a different game.
Game was good fun, but it was just horrible.
The scene were you kill the main bad guy isn't even a cutscene, you just walk up to him and shoot him.

Not everything needs a cutscene. Because all you need to do is walk to someone and shoot them, no dramatic moments.
I remember this, they had a good idea but the gameplay was generally dull.
I liked the atmosphere though.

Could someone help me on this thing I posted earlier
