Whenever I'm playing an FPS and someone is trying to steal a command point I always hear TF2 Music and think "Spy sappin' mah sentry."
Bioshock made me scared of ceilings, No kidding, Bloody Sploicers! :tinfoil::tinfoil:
In some ways they have effected me positively. like online communities where i finally felt accepted. in someways it has been negative in that i would most likely not pass the turing test. :v:
After Bioshock I don't get scared anymore. After Fallout 3 gore doesn't faze me.
Kinda ruined my social life, I have to hold talking about games inside myself, otherwise everyone hates me for no apparent reason.
Talking about video games more or less would indicate you have nothing more exciting in your life to talk about, which would make you boring and uninteresting.
Heard the fucking HL1 crossbow sound for an entire week.
Not so much a video game, but from excessive ventrilo use I sometimes find myself pausing to find my push-to-talk key before actually saying anything.
After playing X3 Terran Conflict for a while, then trying to turn on a Singularity Engine Time Accelerator while driving a car. :downs: And I've become a bit more short-sighted, though that's probably more from me reading books a lot for extended periods of time.
When no-one is home I entertain myself by holding an invisible gun and fighting invisible enemys to my room. I remember once my mom was home cause she was sick and I was snapping around corners and making gun sound effects and I walked into my room and she was sitting at my computer (left her laptop at work) just staring at me. I don't think I've ever felt dumber in my life :sigh: I still do it though :v:
After playing "High Way 17" or something level in HL2 one morning, then going on a drive and getting out of the car, I thought right when I got out of the car, "OK, where's the button I have to press, or puzzle I have to do..."
I wouldn't say they have actually. Maybe on a social level, but they propelled me to have a goal to work for the game industry; which can pay big bucks sometimes. I honestly hope I can work for Valve one day. :D
After playing gmod for months at a time I once tried to noclip. Not by running into a wall, I just thought to myself "Press v" to move down my hallway faster. I then thought about how utterly fucking retarded I was.
after playing ace combat 6 for a long time i kept hearing missile alerts everywhere i went
After playing some building game that's like SL, I woke up, looked at my walls, found out how ugly they looked and pointed my middle finger (right click finger) at it to attempt to change its texture.
I hear the witch at night
Dreamed I was attacked by Yao Guai. :tinfoil:
I think everyone I know has the tetris effect.
Do you know me? Tetris Effect hit me HARD. Really hurt. Right on me noggin'. But seriously I do have it. I did it with my friends cats. And humming the tune and then started meowing.
After a long bout of Left 4 Dead at night, I get very effing paranoid that a hunter will pounce me as I walk out of the den. It makes me really nervous...
Everytime when I was walking to school, I thought there was a sniper on a roof trying to shoot my head off :tinfoil: oh g
Where do you live? Lebanon?
If I turn on an xbox(Or a few other devices) and the sound isn't plugged in, I still hear it :tinfoil:
If I play GTA too much I tend to swerve around pedestrians rather than slow down.
Maybe, uh... Maybe you should stop driving for a little while.
I feel very normal after reading this thread.
Sometimes when somethings behind me I turn around in-game.
Oh god, back when I played unihockey one asshole hit me with his stick, and I yelled "MEDIC". 10 seconds later the doc of the game was standing next to me, asking where it hurts :tinfoil:
Well, after a long playthrough in Fallout 3, i sat down to play HL2:E2, each time i saw an enemy i would click "V".
First time when i played Silent Hill at my friend's house when we were 13. It was pretty creepy to walk home on foggy night every second waiting to hear static noise and some unholy monster to tear me in pieces.
Whenever I do something cool, I shout "I'M IN THE ZONE BABY".
I always look around for hard cover...
Yea, I have something similar, I feel vulnerable walking out in the open, I always try to look for a wall or something to walk next to. :(
I forgot about this one. I'd been playing a lot of TF2, and I went to Walmart. I saw a fat guy with his back to me and I immediately thought something like "oh wow what good luck, I can go stab that heavy before he turns around" shiiit
I SWEAR TO GOD I can here the whisps from Warcraft 3 (And WoW) in my room everyday, even when I'm NOT thinking about it or anything.
