I SMELL A NEW LEGO GAME!
Lego halflife.
It takes you through EVERY HALFLIFE GAME!
we just need ep3 to finish, (GABE! YOU BETTER FINISH IT SO WE CAN HAZ OUR LEGO HALF LIFE!)
Oh,they aren't prebuilt, there are large armor pieces blocking your view of the tiny parts that make up the vehicles.
And Megablocks is more detailed and better to look at then Halo, as in you get almost exact replicas of the things they are based on, instead of a Lego version where it's pretty much blocky. Or, to be more accurate, Megablocks does scenery/set pieces/characters better then Lego.
But yeah, they do fall apart quickly, Lego wins in that round. Lego is way more durable.

[stupid host]
It's more detailed and better to look at because all the pieces are specialised and will probably not work with any other models. Lego encourages more creativity, and in that area is far better than Mega Blocks, and making your own shit is most of the fun anyway.
[editline]05:00PM[/editline]
And these armor pieces are hard to use in a custom creation if you want to make one. Because they're tailored for that set and that set only.
Both Lego and Megabloks make these tailored pieces - but Lego's are less frequent and more reusable.
Like the little springy bit on the Lego football sets. Those were used in a Viking set as the firing mechanism for a cannon that auto-reloads with a clip.
But Bionicle seems to have new pieces every time a new set comes out, especially for those projectile weapon gadgets. I don't like that in Bionicle, but oh well. I don't bother buying any now anyway.
THe LEGO Technic and BIONICLE stuff is the most specialised stuff. You can make new things, but they usually look fugly.
[editline]05:02PM[/editline]
Well, more money spent by their main fans.
Sadly that's kinda true.
Is that actually real?
They're custom made. Yes they're real but you can't get them. Unless you want to pay a hefty price for a few decals and some custom helmets.
I don't like Halo.
Why does every Halo thread need this? The game isn't bad, it's just the community. If it didn't have that stigma and you played it I bet you wouldn't mind it.
it certainly fits their current game demographic
Thing is with Lego they ruled out they were never going to make "Violent" Products, That's why you don't see any "official" Lego Tanks. (If you do there all fan made)
It would have been better if Lego had made these sets, although it was never to be...

what's with the star wars line then :downs:
Why do they looks so pre-built?
[editline]09:10AM[/editline]
That tank thingy looks like it's made out of 10 pieces
because it's megablocks and probably is made of 10 pieces
sorry, but mechwarrior k'nex are better
My megablocks always fall apart.
I had (have) a badass megablocks race track with battery powered cars
and there was that other brand 'bestlock' that made millitary stuff
I remember Bestlock. I bought a big military set with m16s, shotguns, and soldiers. I just mixed them together with my lego models and made everyone fight each other.
Runescape isn't bad it's just the community.
no, runescape just sucks entirely
sorry, but mechwarrior k'nex are better
Dude I got an apache knex with the firing missiles and everything a while back.
And like everyone has stated before, it's weird to see Halo megablocks when Halo is supposed to be a mature game and megablocks are like from ages 5-12.

congrats on confirming his statement, none of those are made by LEGO
[editline]12:06PM[/editline]
anyway, those saying you'd want these just to use the minifigs with LEGO.
megablocks minifigs hardly ever snap onto LEGO. there's not even any point in having the minifig.
congrats on confirming his statement, none of those are made by LEGO
who cares
lego make their own original products unless it's a movie theme approved by kids (jurassic park III, spider man, etc). why would kids care about halo or game-related themes? lego's biggest buyers are kids who aren't interested in games

You bought this? Oh wow.
How old are you OP, like 12?

are you kidding? i loved LEGO as a kid, still do, and i'm a big gamer. everyone else i know who's a big gamer loves LEGO as well.
however, the main demographic for LEGO doesn't really play Halo unless they have an older sibling
I don't like Halo.
thanks for commenting. it really helped this thread.
I didn't like how Megablox connected. It felt flimsy.
Shitty FPS game meets shitty building block toy.
[editline]09:39PM[/editline]
Although actually, Halo seems like one of the most appropriate games to make into Mega Blocks; both are played by small children while more mature people have their similar, but better, competitors.

Megablocks are NOT for playing. They are for shutting away in a case for 20 years so other diehard halo fans can pay me hundreds of dollars for them.
How old are you to question a hobby, like 5?
if he made that statement about buying a LEGO set, i'd feel the same, but Megablocks are incredibly simple and basic compared to LEGO.
Oh god this thread's gotten me nostaglian hardcore about LEGO. Jesus they were so great, the ninjas, the adventurers, the miners, the fucking mars set oh man I gotta go do some googling.
