This thread is a good idea. Some PS/PS2 games are super famous, but it's good to have a list of gems in the form of forum posts.
For a PS2 game, i think most people would enjoy playing it.
Never got around to playing Urban Chaos, really gutted about that.

That game was fucking rad, gudamn now I have to find it. I don't own it by the way, I now have to stalk every place ever to find it.

I know this was posted before, but holy shit this game was the shit when I was a kid. I used to play this all the time with my big brother.
Found a crate full of my old Playstation and Dreamcast games that my parents hid when they decided to redo my old room.
This was so awesome when I first bought the system and my only alternative was Space Jam.

Christmas 1997 was awesome (and EA was still decent!):

The Lost World had a neat case, too.
The United States Playstation release featured a lenticular lens molded into the case, so the front cover would appear to move.
Nuclear Strike was on the back of the manual and had the same lenticular thing.
One of the better "Doom clones" out there for the PSX. Plus, Insomniac Games went on to bigger and better things.

Plus, I found GT2

and a bunch of other games that were already mentioned (Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, and 3, Twisted Metal, Digimon World (which I really feel like playing now), Spyro the Dragon, THPS2 for my Dreamcast, and a shit ton of demo discs). Final Fantasy 8 would've been in there, but it's on permanent loan to a friend because I never bothered asking for it back.
Plus my memory card, so I can actually save things.
And while I'm at it, some PS2 games I turned up searching for all of this shit:

I remember using SOCOM's headset more than I played the game. Telling my AI buddies to PLANT the BOMB HERE never worked as it was supposed to.
