FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!! oh please not ruse. :ohdear:
how is RUSE? its been sitting in my steam list for a while. Is it some stupid BF2 clone or something?
It's a pretty shitty game anyway so who really cares?
I'd like to say that it has done pretty well in terms of stopping Assassin's creed 2 piracy, it's not even cracked as far as I know.
Anyway ruse is like 99% online so it's not like it's an issue.
1337, AC2 was cracked BEFORE it was released.
[editline]07:20PM[/editline]
And the server went down on release.

BF2 clone? Where did you get that from?
Anyway, no it's a WW2 RTS. A really good one actually. Find some videos on youtube if you want to learn more about it. Or just download the free beta.

Isn't there still no properly working crack? That's what I've been hearing.
Anyway who cares since ruse is about about online play?
blah blah blah it's the principle of the matter yeah that's what you're gonna say
You're not being treated like a criminal, this is not in any way Orwellian. Blizzard's Warden anti hacking shit is far more Orwellian anyway and nobody bitches.
This is why I stopped caring if PC gaming dies. PC gamers are whiney fucks in general, you guys say no drm is the best drm? three words for you buds.
WORLD OF GOO.
Fuck you ubisoft.
Brb selling shares in ubisoft before they crash
Oh look, a game I was actually considering buying since the demo was amazing. Way to go Ubisoft.
ITT: OH NO QQ a game that is based around multiplayer is requiring me to be connected to the internet to play!!!! WAAAaaaaaaAAaaaAaaAhHhH!
ITT: OH NO QQ a game that is based around multiplayer is requiring me to be connected to the internet to play!!!! WAAAaaaaaaAAaaaAaaAhHhH!
Exactly. This game is primarily based around multi-player. Even if it didn't have this DRM you wouldn't be able to play it anyway without a Internet Connection
It's ironic that the OP quoted this from Steam, a form of DRM itself.

It has a singleplayer mode you twit.
And great! Another Ubishit game i can completetly ignore! They just keep revolutionizing how to make a shitty game!
Fucking come on, I loved/love the beta, thank you for fucking that up Ubisoft. :saddowns:
(My internet sucks and sometime drop for a second or two)
It's ironic that the OP quoted this from Steam, a form of DRM itself.
Steam has nothing in common compared to Ubisoft and EA's DRM, little boy.
How many times we should say this?
My internet loses connection every thirty seconds at certain times of the day, fuck.
It has a singleplayer mode you twit.

who the fuck buys an RTS for single player?
also you're acting like DRM makes the game bad. The game itself is the game, leave the DRM out of your judging.

not their fault you can't afford a stable connection

it's only nothing because facepunchers literally would pay to gobble gabe's balls. steam is shit too.
Let me ask a brief hypothetical question to everyone saying they're gonna abandon a game just over DRM
What would you do if valve used this DRM for the rest of their games
Would you suddenly turn on valve?
of course they wouldn't, valve makes the best games after all
Blizzard > Valve and even they have some sort of drm (in the form of lawyers who demand private servers to be shut down)

You can play it offline,
You can download the game to your computers,
There is an online community,
You don't need a CD in your computer to play the games,
It automatically updates your games to the most recent version,
You can easily play your games with your saves on other computers.
There are promos sales on games all along the year.
Should I say more? The only thing you need on Internet is to install your games, nothing more.
who the fuck buys an RTS for single player?

I buy RTS games for the singleplayer when I just want to have some light skirmish battles with the AI, I don't usually enjoy multiplayer unless I am with my friends.

Yup. I'd actually blame them for dropping steam and using a so-visible drm without extra features.
By the way how is steam shit?

Actually offline mode has always been really iffy for people, I've heard people say it doesn't work and it only works occasionally for me. Either way this form of DRM is completely OK and you guys should stop being whiny faggots and justifying it with "IT'S THE PRINCIPLE!!"
By the way how is steam shit?
offline mode hardly works, shitty pricing and run by a company that make the most overrated games of all time.
Half life 2 is mediocre at best, portal is fun but has a shitty plot, etc. etc.
Impulse is a far better digital distribution service.
I buy RTS games for the singleplayer when I just want to have some light skirmish battles with the AI, I don't usually enjoy multiplayer unless I am with my friends.
hi, you're in the minority.
Yup. I'd actually blame them for dropping steam and using a so-visible drm without extra features.
I would probably wonder if everyone in Valve hit themselves over the head with a hammer before making that decicion.
It has a singleplayer mode you twit.

So you have to worry about the drm for what maybe 8 hours? After which you'd be playing online anyways.
Who buys RTS games like this for the single player, that's kind of silly.
You're still getting butthurt because a company is trying to protect it's income. I bought AC2 and the DRM hasn't inconvenienced me in the slightest, and from what I've heard the cracks that are out for AC2 are all pretty much unplayable (screen goes white when you enter the animus and that pretty much means you can't play anymore), so props to ubi for making it work.
If you have a broadband connection you're going to be connected 24/7 anyways, and if your connection goes down that isn't ubi's fault. Really how often does your connection go down in the first place? If it's enough to actually make the DRM an annoyance you either play computer games way too much or you have horrible internet.
Let me ask a brief hypothetical question to everyone saying they're gonna abandon a game just over DRM

I certainly would, it would be hypocritical not too.
I'M SO MAD AT VALVE I GONNA TO TROLL PEOPLE
Well, I am pleased to see your share of opinion.

Well, I would do if they will included a invasive DRM like Ubi or EA.
Yup. I'd actually blame them for dropping steam and using a so-visible drm without extra features.
So basicly valve are shit now because they decided to use a DRM even thought it doesn't affect anything unless you are really whiny as the games are perfectly fine and you need an Internet connection that's all

Fucking finally, someone who can think clearly.
Seriously, you guys complain that drm doesn't work. It made the game unplayable for pirates, it works. I support it because it works. No DRM is a terrible idea, DRM should stay.
Well, I am pleased to see your share of opinion.
Well, I would do.
haha what the fuck anyone who disagrees with you is trolling? I mean jesus fuck you guys are being immature twats about DRM and now you can't let anyone have any other opinion without calling it trolling? Grow the fuck up.
