I can never tell which direction the sound is coming from. I once heard lots of spiders and it sounded like it was above me and to one side of the cave, so I dug in that direction, and found nothing. I went back to the main cave and dug down and I found the dungeon.

Speaking of getting lost, I wish you could right click with the compass to save a location for it to point to. Sometimes spawns just don't cut it.

Okay guys, since I'm writing a minecraft server from scratch, how many of you would like to sometimes play an arcade gamemode just for the heck of screwing around? It would be like GarryWare Two for gmod. Round-based competitive tasks in small maps and other puzzle gamemodes.
I've been messing around in the free version of the game, made a lighthouse, two underwater houses, and a crappy little boat. Then I decided to generate a large world and found this naturally in the side of a cliff:

SO....DAMN...CLOSE! I went creeper hunting, here's how it went:
Dusk: Uneventful. Wandered purposefully deep into the forest.
Midnight: Spotted several mobs. Killed about 3 zombies, 7 skeletons, 4 creepers and 5 spiders. Got 5 gun powder from creepers.
Dawn: Completely ambushed by 6 skeletons (just as the sun was rising, the bastards were on fucking fire!). Turned and ran. Ran into a flaming zombie. Sliced it in half with my iron sword and ditched. Heard a spider sequel. Spider caught up with me, but I managed to kill it, leaving me with half a heart, 6 skeletons chasing me. I ran when suddenlHSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Is there the possiblity to lock my door?
I have a Wooden door in my port (forstwind harbor) that serves as the door to the resting/hotel like place.
With lock i mean: If switch = door cannor be opened, if up = door can be opened.
Make a iron door, it can only be opened with a lever-button or pressure plate and you can make a lock mechanism
