I think I just made my permanent Minecraft home, it's great:

I'm getting bored of single player. I need to find a server.
Well, it DID look suspicious, you have to admit. Sorry, then :)
I'm sure you're all proud of your new grade five hall monitor position but it doesn't carry over to minecraft version monitor
Does Minecraft run heavy on your machines graphics card?
Does Minecraft run heavy on your machines graphics card?
No, but it does get CPU intensive after awhile.
Does Minecraft run heavy on your machines graphics card?
Yes.
It is slightly above Crysis in processing power usage.

He's surprisingly not kidding.

Speaking of which, Notch STILL hasn't fixed that occasional memory leak that happens for no reason. :saddowns:
No, but it does get CPU intensive after awhile.
So would a machine that had duo 1.7 ghz run Minecraft pretty well?

Pretty cool server. I'll be back on later.
This came up just as I was about to stop playing for a bit.

:ohdear:
Fucking. Hell. Its almost like god doesn't want me to get to the nether. I just spent like, half an hour filling the trench around the path to my portal with lava, and in the midst of making the obsidian for the portal...spilled a bucket of water. There goes half my lava, plus an extra 20 minutes to break all the accidental obsidian which I can't even collect since there was a layer of lava under the layer of accidental obsidian. Fuck.

Whenever I see that I go back and keep playing just to spite it.
It knows.
Also, 1800 posts.

It's like how it said 'Dungeons!' before I started a new world, and one minute in I fell into a surface dungeon :ohdear:
Spilling lava on sand should turn the sand into glass. Obviously you wouldn't be able to collect it, but it would be a neat thing and provide a way for glass to occur naturally in the environment. (Although rarely)
Another neat thing would be a type of luminescent mushroom that spawns in caves and causes grass to grow. (Notch could make these areas occur randomly using the same algorithm as dungeons)
I think I might have split personalities. One part of me wants to play BLops and the other wants to play Minecraft.
I'm feeling the urges to log back on and work on my SP home.
can you break down metal blocks back into ingots?
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4861882/ProjectRome/banner2.png[/img_thumb]
Well here it is, my surprise.
Part One
Part one of the suprise, is That yes, s2 is now a Nether server. I know, its crazy right? Well it gets better, It has Ghasts, PigZombies, hellstone, and all that good shit. TNT, lava, and lighters have been un-nerfed. But please dont use it to grief.
Part Two
Part two of the suprise, is that Nether portals work now. You make the portal the same way you do in singleplayer, you just need to add a sign on the frame. The sign should have the map you want to go to on the second line ("Nether" for the Nether server, "Mainland" for the main server.), and the warp location on the map you want to tp to on the third line. You can also use "here" on the third line to tp you to the same location on the other map. To light the portal you will need to get a admin to place fire on it, because lighters are still blacklisted on s1. And finnaly, yes it does carry your invintory with you.
You also need to dl a client for easy teleportation between the two servers HERE
Part Three
Part three of your suprise, and also the best part, is that S2 now has PVP and PVE. Nether is full of pigzombies and ghasts so you might want to decrese the population a little. PVP works on a chance system so you may get alot of misses, but once you kill a player their invintory drops, and you get to collect all their goodies. Set up arenas, team up, or just be a lone wolf, no need to kill just have fun in hell!
Neat, but I'm still going to miss that snow world.

Yuh.

I'm feeling it too.
But the spawning system in Black Ops makes me want to play Minecraft.

I got the game winning kill a few minutes ago. In the killcam, I was killed by a sniper. I then respawned behind someone and stabbed them.

Play both at the same time.
Now that I've figured out how to do recordings more efficiently, I will now be making more Minecraft videos once my mic gets fixed. Kind of like this really dumb one I made two months ago.
