That's a remnant of the forest fire from the trees I had to clear when I was flattening this whole plot of land to build this building on. Originally there was a mountain where this building now stands. Haven't bothered to put them out yet, probably will when this thing is finished.

I think it's nice to finally see a Minecraft project who's sole purpose is to be vandalized and grieved but is still built properly

Jesus christ, there are way too many server threads in games in progress for minecraft smp servers.
Now i feel like building a gigantic city in Minecraft just for myself.
Just a preview of my mob traps size...
It's about 150x150 (3 tall) with 2 levels of water flowing in from half blocks (so water flows in up to 25 blocks out for max efficiency), into a glass drowning pit with a central collection point. I excavated the area about half picks and half TNT. I'll make a video when I buy fraps (expensive :frown:) but for now marvel at the size of it in my cave mode carto pic. For scale, the mine shaft goes down to bedrock, from an already high location in the middle of a mountain.
The trap is drowning (and/or cactusing spiders) about 4 at a time. I get about 150-200 items per hour based on a 20 minute test of idling in the collection point.
