Any cool biome mod configs I should try? I've stopped playing Minecraft 2 weeks ago and now I want to do something different.

I had that happen, I was building a medium sized house but with a massive mine underneath and after the blue screen my world wasn't there.
But when I started a new world in that file, as I wandered around I actually found my house again, just my spawn point had changed. Not sure if it was just luck though.
No update, no posts.

Did you just design that in photshop or something or is there actually a site preview we can see?

Also, I don't seem to be getting any stone when I break a stone block. Anyone know what the problem might be?

Are you using a pick, or just your hand? If you use a pick on stone you get cobble. You have to smelt it to get smooth stone again.
How does one use da furnace?
I put torches in the lower, sand in the upper but nothing happens.

You use a fuel. Coal is the most efficient, although wood and a few others can be used.
Fuel at the bottom, item at the top.
