Goddamn I just found like a massive 10x10 tube going straight down into a lava lake under my house digging a basement, I'm trying to descend and explore (I see diamonds!) but there are small holes in the walls everywhere with skeletons shooting through it at me, this place is defended better then a nazi stronghold. God.

Also to note that creeprs tend to spawn ontop there and kamikazi down exploding in midair taking chunks of the cave with them.

How do I remove graphical artifacts? I turned off AA and all other things in nVidia control panel and there's still lines around torches and stuff.
It feels like the last level of MoH:airborne, really.

Are you talking about the selection box that shows up when you aim at a torch? That is supposed to be there.

How far apart are you placeing your torches ? also mobs cant spawn on half blocks :D

You can pick up lava in a metal bucket, yet if you throw a metal bucket into lava the bucket is destroyed.

Having lava in a metal bucket would warm up the bucket a LOT and would most likely burn your hands, so metal bucket isn't much better.

I fell in lava whilst mining and made a backup just in case I died.
Well, I didn't so I continued on with my stuff. Later, I returned back home to find my home buried in sand and the cave I was in actually to be missing.( mineviewer didn't show any caves where there should have been. ) Pissed that I had lost everything I had been working for, for the past week. I noticed that my backup that I made earlier was still there. So I loaded up that one, dug my way out of the caves, and walked home. I found that with the backup, everything was still there. ( with the exception of all the things I mined, which I can get back with LOLEditor. )

Lava is hotter then it seems, temperatures can go up to 700 °C to 1,200 °C. I think that would melt metal.
