This texture pack should make it a lot easier. I could always put the wheels 'behind' the track skirt. The real problem is finding what block to make the tracks out of.

No. Things such as the box of gears are actually the iron blocks (the ones you get from combining 9 iron bars) repurposed.

Redstone is steam pipes, when it turns on they leak red steam.
Aw. It would be really nice if someone made a mechanical block mod, which used something like iron blocks or even a furnace with redstone placed inside to create Minecart boosters that you place under the track to allow boosting to Minecarts, without all the other stuff like J loop boosters having to be placed.
The reason for adapting vanilla blocks into it is to keep texture pack compatibility rather than the owners of texture packs having to add their own material to their pack to make it compatible.

I was making a puzzle type map like that set in a big old mansion that was meant to be kind of dark and creepy (inspired by amnesia :v:) but since the biomes update it no longer snows and kills the atmosphere :saddowns:
