One thing bugs me about the predator demo, he applied his cloak, and had to "sneak" around the aliens. Any real fan would know that aliens can see predators, cloaked or not.
I think that was just the player being an idiot. and the alien saw him anyways.
Predator's hud is a bit too cluttery. I hope it will be moddable.
He was playing it on console, PC HUDs and console HUDs are a lot different. PC version probably won't have the 4 point weapon selection thing.
YES! Wow, beautiful! I can't wait!
"My son ripped off a man's head and stuck on a pair of claws, it's all because of video games."
I love how the melee combat looks like. It's not like in most games, where both players just smash a button and the screen possibly shakes a bit. In here, it's this brutal, primitive struggle where the hits actually feel like hits.
Yeah, that's what I noticed a lot when the predator had a wristblade battle with aliens. It looks like everything he does actually has an impact, and visa versa.

I believe it's already been elaborated upon in either a review or another video that cloaking doesn't work against aliens. The guy in that first predator demo is just really dumb. There was a couple other E3 demos out there where the person playing actually knew what they're doing.

really? is there a link anywhere, please? I'd love to see some gameplay where the person actually knows how to fucking play. I see a few videos of it and I think I could've done better than that guy could on my first try.
Part 2 by the way:

There's a bunch of other stuff in the related list as well.
Damn, that was awesome.
Honestly the predator gameplay doesn't look that great though, I think I willl stick to the marines.
[editline]12:34PM[/editline]
I really hope there will be a gamemode where like some marines which are player controlled fight against aliens in a ship which are bots, like some survival mode, and someone could control the predator.
I just played a few of the predator levels in AVP2. So fun.
This will be amazing.
I think Monolith would have done a better job.
This game looks severely badass.
They're making it far too consolized.
Quicktime events, predetermined jump points for predators... what's next? Aliens have to lock on to their target before pouncing and then they have to play a DDR type minigame to see whether or not they can kill the guy?
What the hell are you talking about? What quick time events?

No, just... No... Rebellion did a far greater job with the first ones atmosphere, replayability, and just overall fun factor. AVP2 was way too linear and scripted for it to be enjoyable several times.
The only thing i'm not liking in this one though, is that the plasma caster just instagibs them in one shot, i mean, it would be better if it just mabye gibbed their head or their arm or something and they died, it just looks slightly cheaper the way it is.

Different guy playing. Doesn't stutter and has a sexy accent.

Shows some other features as well.

I'm going to have agree you totally. I loved Rebellion's AVP game a lot more, because it had Skirmish and those you mention.
The clip that Minorkos posted is awesome, this guy played a lot better and explained it well. It looks really kickass
I never really played Rebellion's original PC game. I have it, but I never played it. I think I'm going to reinstall it now...
Ah, i hope they leave marines as a "horror" campaign
Environments remind me of Doom 3.

If you have trouble playing it just tell me, i can upload a patch that fixes most of the issues for the Gold Version and i know another fix for the looping sound problem for when you skip the intro ads.
And just incase anyone is wondering what the original was like, here:

Is it the age of the game or his recording equipment that make that look really ugly
It's actually amazing watching that trailer due to having the Alien game on my PS1 way back.

Such a huge change in graphics.

Probably his recording equipment. The game features dynamic lighting, ambient lighting, light coronas, and deformable explosions.

Looks like they've taken ideas from Predator: Concrete Jungle, like the mines and recharge points.
I'm still going to miss my speargun though. :frown:

Erm, no, their were mines in AVP2 and their were recharge points in AVP1.

Since when did Predators have mines in AVP2?
I didn't know there were recharge points in AVP1, never played it that much.

Excuse the poor graphical quality (the graphics for it are MUCH better, he must have it all set to low).
imagine the multilayer possibilities!!!
