6 Announcements that would make E3 EXPLODE - Games

And that's what I admire most about Valve, they're unbound from other publishers, and are therefore capable of refining products as close to perfection as they can. And even if it isn't absolutely tip-top, they soon rectify that with their DLC. And the best thing about it is that PC's get DLC for free.

E3 is going to explode for Portal 2 anyway. It's just gonna be a nuke if he says anything about ep3 or some other unannounced games.

Valve is not going to show or say anything about Half-Life at E3. Period. They dedicate their hype machine to one new release a year and no more. You could try to make an exception for the Orange Box, but that was still technically a single release that just happened to include several games. Portal 2 is Valve's game of the year. You can forget about Half-Life in 2011 too. That'll be the year of Left 4 Dead 3 instead.

Half-Life 2 EP 3

Has anyone got any new FACTS about what's going to happen? Awe-inspiring ideas of how it might happen are fun and entertaining, but all the posts that say what you think WILL HAPPEN are downright opinionated and useless. "HLep3 is/not going to be announced" Is as good as saying something like "The sky WILL/WILL NOT be clear all next week". You can't really prove that, unless you know for certain that the weather is being manipulated infalliably, and subsequently, you can't know if ep3 is really coming out or not unless someone on the inside says yes or no. Well, that was my rant k thanx. (that's the ironically comical end-note thing).

Maybe a Ep3 Trailer in Portal 2? They said no half life this year but since P2 is coming out in the holiday that could mean that Ep3 comes out a few months after.

Would be awesome if they'd show anything related to Ep3 on the E3, but I think they won't. It'll only compete with their hype for Portal 2.

Wait so Episode 3 is an anagram of E3? Because I mean the last episode was 2... And in 2008 and 2009 there was no Episode 3... And pretty much all new good games are announced at E3... But, I mean it has to be something special to do with E3? Right?

They want to focus their own and the public's attention onto one new release a year. And that is very logical from a business and productivity standpoint.
