Meh. The gameplay video looked so much more epic. There was so much more going on, with the Soldiers and the Dropships. Now it's pretty bland.

Yeah, When I watched the beta video, I thought to myself "This will be epic. I will be chased by gunships in this cool looking car, and walking through a house to have two hunters ambush me."
But it's all gone there.
I'm playing Half-Life for sort of the first time (I played through it a bit by just sampling each chapter with Half-Life: Source but that's it) and I just got to the bit in We've Got Hostiles when I jumped down from a vent and realised, "Wait.... this is the room I saw through a window half an hour ago"
I couldn't decide whether to be amazed or pissed off.

I really loved the part in Ep2 when you first meet the combine adviser in the barn.
On my old comp it looked average, but when I played it through again with all graphics turned up to max I seriously almost jizzed it looked so cool, despite the fact there's a giant grub thing sticking its penis tongue in your face.
And then the follow hunter+soldier battle and heli chase just consolidates its awesomeness.
