4chan was already contacted, and /B/ just showed up, voted Zynga "for the lulz" and spammed pain Olympics.

I feel this poll is below them, but it is hard to back that up when steam posts an announcement about it.
I have been told by a friend that farmville users who vote get a free shovel.

Oh
My
God.
Did they beat Square Enix, too? Madness!
Oh my god, there's a fuckin' .8% difference. vote vote vote vote :f5h:
If Farmville wins, I will have lost all faith in society.
Oh shit no.

OH SHIT NAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW
We must stop this!
Zynga 50.4% (21259)
Valve 49.6% (20892)
Almost there gentlemens
Only 170 votes or so under.
GO VALVE.
-snip-
Guys, Valve is ahead, we're winning =D
You guys realize there's literally 10 times more people who play farmville then any Valve game. And most of the players who play farmville have never heard of Valve and the Half Life series. It's pretty hard to compare an ultra-casual shitty flash game to a hardcore singleplayer first person shooter which released in 2004.
[editline]02:44AM[/editline]
The only reason Valve is winning is because no regular farmville player would give a shit about some random video game websites poll on 'which is the best company'.. The winner is decided based upon gossip, not actual statistics.
You guys realize there's literally 10 times more people who play farmville then any Valve game.
Counter Strike 1.6, Counter Strike Source, Team Fortress Classic, Team Fortress 2, Day Of Defeat, Day of Defeat Source Half Life, Half Life 2, Half Life 2: Episode one, Half Life 2 Episode two, Portal, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2.
I don't think you have the slightest idea of how much people play Valve Games versus Farmville. How many people have Farmville? 10 million? Only HL2 was sold 10 000 000 times.
Valve don't
They only did that to appease the fan brats who constantly spammed their emails with it and they just announced it just to shut them up
I'm not sure about you but if there was some irrelevant contest and everyone wouldn't shut up I'd just tell people to go vote if it'll stop the spam
Besides bioware and blizzard are the people that deserve the win they're in the quarter finals WITHOUT rallying their communities
The difference is that valve actually cares about the community. Last time, Valve won by around 62% - 48%. And you know what they did? They lowered the price of HL2 for a week by 62%.
I bet if blizzard wins, as cool of a company as they are, still won't do shit for the community. Make WoW 62% off, then we'll talk.

Facebook has over 400,000,000 active users on it. I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a large percentage of that which plays farmville.
1% of that number roughly translates to 4 million people, which is a fuckton compared to the valve community. 'Most people' who play video games are casual console gamers who follow ridiculous bandwagons such as 'CoD4 on Xbox' then when they go on Facebook they play their shitty flash game because "no one wants to play some 6 year old single player game" which was originally released on the regular xbox. Yes, it has sold 10 million or so copies, But who says most of those weren't just people who bought it upon release, did one play through, then forgot it ever existed?
[editline]03:10AM[/editline]
I could ask all 100+ or so friends on my facebook who are near my age if they heard of TF2 or Counter Strike and I can pretty much guarantee 90% of them never heard of the games.

I can pretty much guarantee that 90% of the people on my friends list would.

Valve 51%
Zynga 49%
I think we might win, buddies!
This looks rigged, Valve would be an obvious winner. I don't see how they could lose to Zynga, who makes fucking flash facebook games...
The situation now is described like this:

:bravo:
I put in my vote.
Meaningless or not, the notion that the creators of fucking FARMVILLE would do better than Valve at anything is ridiculous.
Valve is winning by good 1000 votes. I think we're in the clear. :v:
It'd be cool if Valve would put some sales on Steam when they win, like they did with Half-Life when Gordon beat Mario.
They probably will. Something along the lines of all Valve games 10% off. Nothing too extreme, but still something worth doing.

When Gordon Freeman won that greatest game hero contest, they put a discount on all Half-Life games with the percentage that Gordon won the finale (55.8%). I can see them doing that with all the Valve games.
Valve taking the lead again. <3
So, how much longer does this poll go on for? Valve just might win this... Lets hope so.

What would happen if they won at 100% or even 90%?
When does this poll end?
I don't even know...farmville?zynaga?never herd of them!Well then,Valve it is!
It ends on the 4th at 12 PM I believe.
The forums over at The Escapist must be filled with a whole lot of idiot morons.
