I hate it when people ask for achievements for raids, especially PuG's, this is why noobs are still around.

What's wrong about asking for achievements? If you want a fast run because you missed a guild run or something, asking for an achievement is a pretty reliable way to make sure the group can get it done. Of course it won't get rid of stupid people, but having the achievement to begin with shows you at least know the fights.

No it doesn't, it shows you have done the instance however it doesn't show you know the fights. You could easilly have been carried through the instance.

I guess that's true. There's not really any way to guarantee a player knows a raid, but them having the achievement definitely increases the chances.
