The maps aren't suited for Sniping at all, there aren't any advantage points for Snipers.

What's the green dot that sometimes pops up on my minimap? It looks exactly like normal player dots, but it's the same color as the players on your team.

They're decoy grenades. Simulate firing on the enemies radar.

I use VS scopes for sniping, anyway. Infrared seems blurry to me.

I really hate the viewkick on scope-in with any sniper. Jesus just bring it back to CoD4 style sniping.

I love decoy grenades. Especially when in the middle of a firefight and I throw one behind an enemy and he turns around and I can kill him.

I found quickscoping moderately fun Sure it was gay when you got quickscoped and it's not realistic but it's fun

I love servers that say "HIGH XP" or "N00B XP BOOST" and when you join them, its just regular xp with a bunch of people complaining about the xp rates.

I don't know how Treyarch is going to make sniping more effective. The maps are already added in, giving snipers more damage would hardly change anything and reintroducing quick-scoping would be a kick in the nuts. The maps. They are horrible for sniping. Just plain bad. There is no room and way too much damn cover and buildings to hide in/behind.
