I was thinking about getting this, but the main draw for me was taking control of a single unit.
The single unit control is pretty damn bad, so if thats what was drawing you to it, no. Just try the demo.
Either way, for $7.50 its a solid RTS.

I'm thinking about getting the King's Quest collection on Steam. As a kid, I played the sixth game only, and I remember it being really amazing, but this is honestly kindergarten age or so that we're considering here. I'd probably like this one if I bought it again, if only because of the nostalgic feeling of seeing old familiar images again.
I've pretty well liked what few point & click adventure games I've played, like Monkey Island, Loom, Gabriel Knight, and :qfg: but what do people generally say about King's Quest? I wonder if I'd get any fun out of them without the veil of nostalgia boosting my opinion of them. I don't know... Reliving KQ6 might be worth the $15, but it could be even better if the other games are... Even better.
Anyone familiar with the King's Quest games?

a lot of people that are buying it are disliking it
I haven't had a single complaint. (except maybe the command system is a bit gimped compared to the old one). It was worth buying for me because it's 50AUD on Steam and most likely going to be $100 retail when it comes out (on August 20)
