Theaters of war that game designers haven't touched

The French Revolution would be cool. Start out as an angry peasant storming the Bastille, end up fighting with Napoleon.
I would like to see a WWII Axis FPS, something with great gameplay, but a good story depicting the main character's emotional feelings about fighting for a country that is killing thousands of innocents.

Games based on special forces. German Stormtroopers, British Commandos, Z Special Unit, or any others that could bring a different perspective to war games.

Because the Allies didn't kill any innocents.
Oh wait; they did!

Because the Allies were the ones killing jews.
You all should know very well which theaters of war have been beaten to death: the Sci-fi, world war II and current day warfare, even Vietnam has been done by a few games.
I notice there's nearly nothing game wise about the Korean War. In fact its not a warfare subject a lot of people talk about, so I am not all that surprised nobody's bothered to produce a game set in this era. Vietnam has been done by the Battlefield Series and a couple other games (Men of Valor) but for the most part they hadn't gained enough popularity to make a newer game.
I would love to see a game set in the Korean War, mainly because nobody appears to have bothered to try.
What the fuck, how come every time someone mentions Vietnam games, they always somehow miss the only decent vietnam game ever made, but somehow manage to bring up battlefield vietnam and budget shit like Men of Valor? VIETCONG PEOPLE. VIETCONG.
Anyway, there's a slew of theaters/era that have never been touched. Just to name a few that would make great games in the right hands:
WW1
Korean War
Malayan conflict
Bush War 1964-1979 (Africa/South Africa)
The Troubles (Ireland, IRA etc)
Yom Kippur War
Falklands conflict
Special Operations in Panama
Has anyone made a Grenada game yet?
I lol'd. You know how fast that game would be over?
The total death toll of the grenada invasion was 89 people. 89. Unless you get a smart new developer with some non-combat orientated idea that are really engaging (unlikely), you're going to have the shortest gameplay ever constructed.
Boer War. That would be very different.
Here's a few more that have crossed my mind:
1980's Afghanistan
Alternate history August Coup (Basically a Second Russian Civil War)
Indochina War (Vietnam War for the French
Sino-Indian War
civil war.
i want to shoot and take 3 whole minutes to reload my musket.
and i want to make my own bullets out of led.

maybe a ww1 dogfight game where you have to shoot down nazis midair with a shotgun, while flying your plane
A Napoleonic-era redcoat could load and fire his smoothbore Brown Bess three or four times a minute.
In fact, a Civil War era soldier would have an easier time loading since the typical rifled musket used percussion caps.
Zulu War, they were surprisingly devastating.
They need to make a game based on The Cold War.

Oh yeah,
i can't wait to buy a game based on a war where there was no actual war

Erm, there's plenty of those lying around since 1989 and before. (Steel Panthers 2, Operation Flashpoint, Harpoon, World in Conflict and more)

It could be like and RTS where you negotiate with the other country and if you can't keep peace you command your troops.
I want an WW2 Alternate History game where the U.S. never bombs Japan, and the U.S. progresses to the invasion of Japan. The player would play as three different Japanese men. First would play a Japanese man going through losing battles in the Pacific. The first man dies on the last Battle before the homeland invasion. Second would be a japanese man defending his home, who later dies during the successful takeover. Third would be a japanese peasant, or possibly a war veteran in some sort of "reeducation" camp a year or two after the U.S. invasion. The objective would be to use guerrilla tactics to sabotage and start a revolution to free the Japanese people.
I can dream.
(All the japanese shit is because alternate history game where Germany wins has been done before :saddowns:)
Bombing of nagisaki and Hiroshima
YA FLY A PLANE FOR 8 HOURS THEN CRASH IN CHINA

It was a joke that Enjoi got.
My Grandpa was in the Korea.

Yea because it wasn't that long since WW2 ended?
Basically I'm saying it'll be just like a WW2 game
I'd love to see a CoD style FPS about a Soviet-US war. If they had a Red Dawn or WiC scenario, it'd be perfect. I mean, the only games that's ever really dealt with Soviet invasion are Freedom Fighters, which is a bit aged now and in third person, and World in Conflict, which is an RTS. Sure it's fictional, but it wasn't far off from happening and I'd love to play an FPS based around it.
If you trade in the 1980's and Soviets for the 21st century and North Koreans, then you get that upcoming FPS called Homefront.
when jesus fought the romans

Didn't Moses help? And they had Submachine guns?
Modern Day platforming.

They also had tactical nukes too.
It could be like and RTS where you negotiate with the other country and if you can't keep peace you command your troops.
Great idea. Off a stroke of imagination, they should call it Hearts of Iron II. Maybe give it two expansions that would let you go farther into the cold war.
They could do WW2 from a German Soldier's point of view. Just stick to the battles that were won, Operation Market Garden for example.
I want an urban warfare type game where you would do battle in office buildings and skyscrapers and such. You could be terrorists or counter-terrorists.
As I wrote this it sounded more and more like Counterstrike.
You should try True Combat: Elite. It may not feature complex buildings, but it's ridiculously fun.

Oh, and Spanish Civil war would be pretty cool.
The Plantinean War (Sp?) which was between Brazil and Argentina during WW2.
Making a realistic or semi realistic WWI game with era weapons and trench warfare wont appeal to the mass audience that game designers shoot for. But you never know, personally a WWI game would be amazing.
Remember: when talking about WW1 games mention trench foot to try and sound smart.
