For example, the Arab Revolt was a campaign of asymmetrical warfare by the Hejaz Arabs and their British allies. It could actually make a good singleplayer game.

I'd like to see a game that went through all of the famous riots, but managed to link them all together. But then again, i can't think of any famous riots right now... You'd play as just a single person in the riot, not some famous person. Probably wouldn't work though. It's still a nice idea =P

10,000 B.C. type stuff would be cool

The witch hunts. You play as a Inquisitor who travels from town to town. There would be different methods of torture. The game is to find ways to inflict pain to men and women so that they won't die but rather say they are devil sent. Then you could get to kill them either by more torture or just cut them open. Or if female you could push a sharpened stick up their genitals until they bleed to death. It could have RPG elements, if you have a higher intelligence you could invent better methods of killing people and speeding up the process of wiping out red hairs like saying "we throw them off a cliff. If they don't fly away they were innocent because a witch would save itself" Or Charisma where you get the peasants if a village to slaughter their neighbors because you impress them by your Christian ways. Gosh, human history is so awesome EDIT: It could have some mainstream plot like becoming so popular in saving the people from the devil that you could plan an intrigue in the Vatican and become the pope
