Why isn't HL2 recognized more easily? - Games

But I know they're smart (Hell, they figured out how to make really huge money, and actually make consumers happy) But lets talk about Hype itself. Look at MW2 - every single American "gamer" in range of 6-40 years wanted, to buy, and brought this game (I brought it too), It was like the most hyped game ever in the history of mankind.

I didn't buy MW2.

To be honest, it makes me feel superior when I meet a so called 'gamer' and they don't know what Half-Life is.

who cares if they know about it or not do you want more dumb people to taint your precious game? Well my neighbor and I played the entire half life saga on the PC. My friend played it on the xbox and does not like half life. So in conclusion the xbox ruins the half life experience.

I Remember seeing Half life 2 at BJ's and thought i'd love it, but i had a 2000 computer so I probably couldn't of played it.

L4D is only popular because it has so much advertising. Tf2 and the HL series were not very much advertised.

Valve don't simply make awesome games, they continually support them. I hear the guys at school talking about glitches and exploits they found in MW2 and I mock them. Ha. :clint: Most of them haven't even heard of the rest of the games I like, like Bioshock, Dragon Age and Borderlands. Sucks to be the,. Not that they'd understand them anyway. Imbeciles.
