great, I continue to crash and freeze on this game... I'm starting to think of deleting this mod and forget about it, it's a big game, but it lack stability.

I only crash at level changers, and only occasionally, so I just save periodically and live with it. It's worth it, but I suppose you might be having it tough.
TESNexus coming back as a reported attack site to anyone else? I just got 5 Trojans from it, or atleast reported Trojans. IRSetup.exe which is some temp file created for use to install something, Two more randomly generated .exe files, KBDLel.dll, and "qgotecugofudocay" in the Registry, The first four files in my Temp folder
Easy enough to remove them but 5 Trojans from such a well known site?
Yeah now Google is showing any form of TES Nexus as a reported attack site, and the website's server is down for me right now... I think I'll be staying away from the Nexus websites now... a Shame too, Lots of good stuff for Oblivion, Morrowind, Fallout 3 and Dragon Age on them. Lucky for me Windows Defender AND MalwareBytes both caught it, but I'm doing more scans now, Full ones
Does this require the disk to play? I have Oblivion installed on my computer, I just don't have the disk.

It's like OBSE, doesn't need a disk.

The webmaster fixed the trojans but he's having trouble getting the site off Google's attack site list.
Just finished it, pretty damn awesome, better than vanilla oblivion in my opinion.
Thumbed for massive page stretch.

Floating islands, Nehrim has it all.
I can't get it to install. It says setup files for Oblivion are corrupted. Even with vanilla oblivion and registry values deleted.

You need oblivion installed, you big dope.
Nehrim Patch 1.0.8.1 (EN) is here!
This patch includes all previous patches.
The patch can be downloaded in two ways:
1: Automatically using the Nehrim launcher. In order to be able to obtain the patch this way, you must make sure that the automatical search for updates is activated in your Nehrim launcher: Click on the "arrow" button to the right of the (greyed-out) "Update" button of your Nehrim launcher, and tick on the "search for servers and updates (not) active" field. Then your Nehrim launcher will automatically look for and download Nehrim patches (but install them only with your consent).
2: Manually by downloading it from the downloads section of the Nehrim website.
Changes in Patch 1.0.8.1 (EN)
Fixes:
(FIX) In the train from the Daromith mines to Anku, it is now enough to wait for 12 hours, rather than waiting for 12 hours *at once*.
(FIX) (FEA) The Bloodletting spells of ranks II and III are now usable. A Catharsis spell (Rank I) was added (at the moment, it is called "Katharsis"), curing illness while (temporarily) damaging health.
(FIX) Aspheron's AI package MQ11AspheronAmbushPlayer02 is now flagged Must Complete instead of Once Per Day, so that the player doesn't have to wait a day for the conversation if it fails once.
(FIX) The houses in Ostian's haven quarter are now enabled when one teleports to Ostian, preventing the player from seeing an empty haven due to the Ostian optimization scripts. It is still possible to get this bug using mark/recall. Should you encounter this bug, it is enough to leave the haven for the marketplace, and return back to the heaven, and the houses will all reappear.
Changes in Patch 1.0.8.0 (EN)
Features:
(FEA) The Ostian Arena, with a series of fight quests, is now open to the player.
(FEA) New bounty hounting missions in the Middle realm.
Launcher:
(LUP) The mod section of the launcher now contains an index of all available mods and more place for the descriptions of the mod.
(LUP) Revamped the launcher design.
Fixes:
(MOD) New trainers with dialogue can now be created without having to add new dialogue sounds for each new trainer. In order to use this, the trainer must belong to the faction "00LehrerFaction" and in one or several factions corresponding to the skills he trains: "LehrerBlockenFaction, LehrerBlockenFaction, LehrerScheutzeFaction" etc. Examples of trainers that use this new technique can be found in the CS under the IDs "OstianArenaJor", "OstianArenaTirtan".
(FIX) The English version of the game is now as up-to-date as the German version. This means that it has no more bugs that were already fixed in the German patches. In particular, the Robbers' Den Quest should now update properly; the questmarkers in the Cry from the Deep quest are correct; etc.
(FIX) The speed of the horses and donkeys has been lowered to Oblivion standards in order to reduce loading lag.
(FIX) The health points of horses and donkeys have been reduced.
(FIX) The performance in Ostian has been slightly improved.
(FIX) Some graphical bugs fixed.
(FIX) The battle crown now takes the head slot of the player.
(FIX) Level design in quest MQ04 has been made more logical, and a hint has been added.
(FIX) Melvin is more tolerant to friendly fire in the MQ09 mission now.
(FIX) Containers have been removed in MQ09 in order to avoid dialogue being interrupted by opening containers.
(FIX) (BAL-) Erodan's Shield now has an Armor Rating of 13 only (compared to the 16.5 it had before), since it is too easy to obtain.
(FIX) (BAL) The villain ability "Hiding" now does what it should: it drains 5 Heavy Armor and fortifies 5 Light Armor, rather than just draining 5 Light Armor.
(FIX) A few floaters and typos have been corrected and a few messages have been made more understandable.
(FIX) A script in Darius' treasure hunt has been corrected; now, the message that one has found two keystones shouldn't come too early anymore.
(FIX) (BAL+) Jagal's 90% resistance to magick has been replaced by a 50% resistance.
(FIX) The sigil fire pillar in the first part of the Zerobilon dungeon is now deadly.
(FIX) While being chased by the Black Troll, sometimes the player gets "beamed" onto the ropes due to a bug in the Oblivion collision engine. This bug cannot be fixed but it has been rendered harmless.
(FIX) Some scripts have been edited in order to ensure every dialogue line appears in the subtitles.
(FIX) The ban on magick is supposed to be lifted at a certain question of the main quest. A bug that made it stay forever has been fixed.
(FIX) A very rare (but plotstopping) bug that made the game fail to register the death of the mages besieging the Shadowcry Mine is now fixed.
(FIX) The script regulating the gates of Erothin (to the west of the long bridge) has been slightly rewritten. They should now hopefully open at 8 AM and close at 8 PM.
I want to get into this, I really do, but the german voice acting along with the odd untranslated texts and poorly translated ones just kill the immersion.
Not to mention it runs pretty badly too.

Takes alot of tweaking to get it running smoothly. I can live with the german voiceovers and poor translations.
Ill make a tweak guide for Nehrim.
Step one, run Nehrim and go into options. Set everything to full.
Step two, open the nehrim launcher.
Options (anything not mentioned should be off)
Window and Water Reflections on
Tree Shadows on
Grass Shadow on
All distants on
If you have a multicore cpu turn multi-threading on
If you have a dual core turn Dual CPU using on
HDD using is optional
Memory Preload on
2GB (if you have 4GB of ram or more)
Background loading on
Cloning Trees off
Soft shadow trees on
1024
Show blood longer on
Bigger grass area on
In your graphics card control panel set force oblivion.exe to use x18 AF and x4 AA.
In nehrim open your journal and turn off dof and underwater effects, they eat lots of performance.
With these settings Nehrim runs smooth in the most stressful areas. On my system.
e8400 @ 3.2GHz
4GB DDR2 5-5-5-15
8800GT maxoc

Yeah, I can't get the FPS to change despite turning off AA. I have a frickin' GTX 260 for christ's sake!

Try the settings I edited into the post above me, they look amazing and run real smooth. + you get AA and AF
And if you get into that forest, which name escapes me right now, but you will definitely notice the massive lag. Open the console and type "tll" (without the quotations) to turn off long distance terrain. Type it again to reactivate it.

Really weird how the dark forest only lags when spells are cast.
It has to be fixable somehow.
Yeah.
And [sp]that rider with the armageddon sword, his horse[/sp] messes with framerates too
I'm playing now, it's awesome
how do i play it if I have stea6m oblivion!
how do i play it if I have stea6m oblivion!
Read the readme, it explains it.
I'm trying to find my stuff that was taken from me when I was about to be tortured but I can't find it. Where is it?
Bumping this thread because it's everything Oblivion should have been.
If you own Oblivion, you must play this mod.
does anyone know if there is a +5 attributes everytime you level up mod for this game? planning out leveling up is retarded and im not going to do it, but i don't want to be underleveled when i fight epic shit
and if there isn't one, does anyone know how to change the one from oblivion to do it? because people have changed a bunch of shit over and they said its easy enough

So if anyone was having bad problems with this mod always freezing/crashing, I've found a couple of very good solutions that appear to so far work for me.
First off:
Download and apply this patch to your Oblivion.exe located in your Nehrim folder:
http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php
This patches the EXE to use all 4GB+ of your RAM versus the game being only able to use a little under 2GB of RAM at the most. Be sure to back up your exe file of course.
Second, disable all memory preload options, background loading, and the HDD loading options in the nehrim launcher. You might suffer more in-game "load times" but with my PC I found the difference negligable. And me not having freezing/crashes every 20 minutes was a huge plus.
Fuck yes. I was looking for something like this. Gonna re-install Oblivion now.
I'm looking for a no encumbrance mod or something along the lines for nehrim,
can't find one.
going to have to reinstall oblivion just for this mod, it seems awesome.

Are you joking? You can hold hundreds of pounds of stuff with the starting strength levels. My inventory is full of hundreds of clutter items and armors and I've yet to become encumbered
