New Pokémon Games Revealed: Pokémon Black & Pokémon White - Games

Some reason I'm liking the name choices. Gives it a feeling of the inevitable finale of the pokemon series being seperated between the most contrasting colour spectrum duo imaginable. Heres hoping Pokemon ends with the 5th gen, and with a bang (seriously, the only logical forces left to deal with now (done genetic experiment, sun and the moon (abstract thinking here), elements and god-like) are good and evil).

The franchise is only about 14 years old. you do make a good point about the colors though symbolizing the very end of the spectrum. So we will just have to wait and see.

So long as it brings the money nintendo will keep milking it. but thats not the bad thing, Game-freak has been making pokemon games for 14 years now, with only drill dozer as a side project. Drill Dozer was awesome, why cant we have more original stuff from Game-Freak?

I'd still like to see the pokemon world realized in full 3d with expansive environments ala Elder Scrolls games. That would fucking rock. Of course, that would involve some heavy changes to the gameplay mechanics as well I imagine, for better or worse.

Hope gen 5 doesn't suck.

Only good pokemon after Gen 2 is Metagross, and thats because he looks badass.

there are only so many animal archetypes that they can build upon, in Gen I they were restricted by the medium, which are *this many* pixels, now they have more pixels to work with and things are starting to get diverse. You are just experiencing Xenophobia.

I remember a parody called Pokemon Black. Someone actually made it and it was like pokemon except it had more swearing and violence. I was 12 then.

I know that's how I feel. It hasn't stopped me and won't stop me from playing future pokemon titles, but I definitely notice it. Again, to clarify, Gen II was the pinnacle in design and feel.

(see what i did?) If you had to catch the same old legendaries again, where would the magic be? When i got to Palkia in pearl, i was amazed, this big silly looking pink dragon, it was wonderful. Same with Giratina. If i beat 8 new gyms, then discovered a Zapdos hovering around some other power plant or electrical based building, id be dissapointed.
