IGN released their list of best PC games. Apparently Fallout is worse than Crysis.

Well, this list is perfect.
Why shouldn't WoW and Crysis be on the list? WoW is the biggest MMO and Crysis pushed PC graphics to the edge, they definitely deserve to be on that list.
I guess I can see why WoW is on there, even if it is terribly boring. Crysis has no right though. Shiny graphics was all it had. The game was fun for a bit until you got to the awful alien part and then the game ended.
Also millions of people play Runescape and Maple Story. I guess by your logic they're masterpieces of game design too.
Yeah I can see fallout 1 being worse, fallout 2 was really much better than fallout 1
I played the game for four years, your move.
I'm still playing the game. Your move.
Prick.
Well, at least CoH placed better than Crysis.
HL2 should still be on there, even if HL1 is.
Eh, when you look at it from a wide perspective, HL1 was the blue print for HL2, huge mod community, huge player base, and it's a damn good game to boot. With only 25 games on the list, including what, again, in a wider sense, is the same game, seems rather redundant.

I feel sorry for you then. I might still like the game if 10 million of those people who played the game weren't fucking terribad at it, it's not that hard, look up a spec, look up a rotation, look up what stat to stack, and bang, you're in business.

Not really. HL2 gave us not only one of the best storytelling presentations on the PC but one of the most long lasting, best looking, and flexible engines today.
You thought Half-Life 2 was mediocre?
... Seriously?
A generic linear shooter at best, trying to live off a reasonably good game to garner more money.
I like how everyone is disagreeing with everything... Which would be including this post
Here we go, ranting about a matter of personal opinion.

If by long lasting, best looking and flexible you mean looks shit, doesn't support Dx10, has terrible lighting, particle effects, and low resolution textures that barely keep it afloat, then yes.

Well, pardon me if I still play it as a social aspect.
Watch this statement be taken the wrong way because it's so vague.
Whatever, I think I'm done here. Remember, opinions are like assholes: everyone has one. Including me.

HL1 gave us the same thing, for a different time, same game, different time, see what I mean?
Yay, X-COM: UFO Defense!
All the good games were at the bottom of the list (Deus Ex, System Shock 2, Grim Fandango, Starcraft).
If by long lasting, best looking and flexible you mean looks shit, doesn't support Dx10, has terrible lighting, particle effects, and low resolution textures that barely keep it afloat, then yes.
Are you spoiled or butthurt?
At least Deus ex and Half Life were on that list.
Are you spoiled or butthurt?
Are you retarded? or stuck in 2002 when Source looked reasonably good?
If by long lasting, best looking and flexible you mean looks shit, doesn't support Dx10, has terrible lighting, particle effects, and low resolution textures that barely keep it afloat, then yes.
Because it's all about the graphics.
Battlefield 1942 number 5?
pah I can name 10 games that are 10 times better than that... its not a bad game its just not that good
and wtf is crysis doing there, its just a pretty shooter, nothing special about its gameplay
"This isn't just a prettier shooter; it's an incredibly dynamic shooter that plays differently thanks to the decisions that you make in the heat of battle."
load of *******s

No... I understand it, I still play it on occasion because lots of my friends still do, I just don't like the game anymore, in my opinion, it's not worth the $15 a month anymore.
Penumbra: Black Plague deserves to be somewhere on that.
Like war_man333, it's an opinion... Call Of Duty for example IS a good game, but not better than either Company Of Heroes or Fallout! Atleast some Colin Mcrae game should make it on the list... I didnt see any racing game on the list. The Sims is a good game, it's eveb got its own genre. Quake - as said - should also be on that list. WoW is a better game than Doom, CoH, C&C and Starcraft?? WoW shouldn't even be on that list.

wow isnt hard, its addictive as fuck
Because it's all about the graphics.
Since Crysis is even on the list I guess it is.
Fallout IS worse than crysis. hell it's worse than alot of games.
Which fallout?
and anyway, crysis wilts behind the wrath of the fallout games. Yes, even fallout 3
Crysis was a good game with a mediocre storyline, not sure it deserved to be better than some of them but it should be on the list. Also: yay C&C is at 15, but Company of Heroes sucked ass and shouldn't even be on the list.
For the first time ever IGN has disappointed me.
Crysis doesn't even deserve to be on the list, it just goes to show that people care more about graphics than they do gameplay.
Which fallout?
Not 3 incase you're wondering, which is what I thought at first. The original.
wow isnt hard, its addictive as fuck
