Oh man, that I-16 is a complete BITCH to land. I think I wrecked about 50 of them by landing too straight, thus making the engine rape the ground.
And the only cheap La-7s are the rocket-booster ones (La-7R, I think)

You haven't lived until you've played a proper mission online, with humans on both sides, and got badly mauled in a fight, and flown for 10 minutes on your way home trying to keep the plane stable, and successfully landed with severe damage. Survival in that situation is more of a rush than a kill.
