Also, it stands for "All Aircraft Arcade" not "All Aircraft Allowable". It's the name of their website.

This game is epic. Does any of you still play it online? I have the 1946 with all addons. It's old as hell, but it is best flight sim on the earth. Beats FSX hardly. Jesus Christ! I fucking love this game :) but use xfire instead of hyperlobby less hassle and thereare servers with 50-40 players

How do you use Xfire? I'm confused.

Can't see why it wouldn't work. It's just the same thing saved to a different folder. I was flying a B-29 earlier, was pissing about landing in fields with engines off. Then I came down, had to stay up to avoid a river, a small forest... Then a field. I deply the landing gear and touch down, braking hard as not to slam into the fast approaching hill (B-29s don't tip when braked suddenly like most others do) I hit the slope, fast. My right wheel snapped and I slid uphill, grinding to a halt INCHES from a barn on the edge of a village. [img]http://www.tehupload.com/uploads/88710a6f4182782AirCrash.PNG[/img] Aforementioned barn is right in front of the left wing, almost touching the propeller. Took this screenshot over the one of the wing close-up because it looks like a war zone around a downed plane.

How did AAA manage to make AI planes flyable? I've always wanted to try modding for myself but I didn't even know it was possible until I discovered that website and the server.

But, now that I know how to fly them, I didn't really enjoy flying them as much as I thought I would.

I was on AAA today, I got 3 kills in a Spit before plowing into a hillside. :(

Also, that HUD isn't custom. If you press Shift+F1 it gives you it. I think it is either Shift or Control.. I can't remember.

This games is fun beyond belief. Though did anyone else had the bug that sometimes when your pilot got killed and your plane came crashing down to earth, how it bounced up at an insane speed, making a huge arch then coming down again for yet another bounce.

You won't be destroyed when hitting the ground if it's not on.

I have. I've tested all sorts of setting combinations. Happens all the time ('cept if I hit a tree/forest/water).

Oh man, I've only played the original IL-2 with no patches online with a couple of friends, great fun. I had no idea there were so many people playing it still. I must buy this on steam when I get some money together.
