I use an attack 3, from all the talk about it I was expecting it to catch fire or break in half or impale my face, turns out it's actually a simple, reliable joystick and I've been using it for 2 years of Il-2 without any problems.
TicTac, could you switch back to the big map we had yesterday? The small map is just pointless. In that map it's all about turning, which makes Zero's and Biplanes awesome, even though they shouldn't actually stand a chance against most other planes. In a real dogfight it was also alot about being able to go fast and climb, but that won't really make a difference when you start right next to eachother. Also, the smoke + lights rule is stupid because people use it in the middle of a dogfight. It should only be used for landing. Actually you should just remove it, because if people want to fly peacefully they should just play singleplayer.

In a real combat the pilot makes a difference until the pilots match where the specs start to matter.
The winning factor usually comes from the starting advantage. Like altitude.
And that's the only thing i try to use using the zero. Dive high onto another plane shoot upclose and hope anything fell off making him crash. Anything after that is in the enemies favour.
I guess that's my advantage of not using a joystick. I look around with F2 tons. Mouse really helps with that.

I have been shot down by JeRK about 5 times when landing with wingtip smoke/landing and nav lights + open gears.
He does not understand single fucking rules.
So before playing IL 2, try to gain a little self control and don't argue with me and don't send conscript at me as your bitch too. If someone says to me to don't shoot him on landing, I don't shoot him.
You guys, JeRK and Conscript are just useless trolls on this server.

Not so much anymore. But at the beginning of this server, the first time he joined, he only disabled the control cables. ALL THE TIME.

P 51 is good, but it likes to stall a lot.
Try Tomahawk, I think it is a good plane that can beat the hell out of P 51
The P-51 doesn't stall that much if you know how to use it.
