What's AAA?
It's a mod that allow you to fly AI aircraft. Also, Steam does not auto update. So go download 4.08m at gamershell or something.
I can't even take off yet so yeah I just want to join for shits an gigs, patch downloading.
Don't practice taking off. just try to fly and kill shit. taking off is turned off on the server.
Fair enough, look out for flaming fireballs blowing up as that will be me.
I couldn't find IL-2 at Best Buy or Circuit City, I might have to get it off steam which will take a while =/.

I prefare the iwo jima map ( i think it's that one? ) but the spawns are just to close to eachother :(
Spawns were too far on that one just now, took ages to find someone.
I think Iwo jima with the spawns on either side of the island would be perfect.

I got that free because I subscribed to PC gamer :D
Anyway should be picking up a Joystick at the weekend, then I can install the endless amount of patches and mods, and mod enablers and whatnot, then I'll play.
Also can someone post a link to the AAA mod download, I'm not sure if the one I'm looking at is the same one you guys are using.

However..seems like people are getting better now..Well that or this map is just too large.
Hyper Lobby doesn't work for shit. It keeps telling me that it can'd find the il2fb.exe even though I specified and checked it several times (D:\Program\Vista\steam\SteamApps\common\il 2 sturmovik 1946\il2fb.exe)
Also is it supposed to say "Unexpected Error: Quitting" when you start it? (I'm guessing no, but it doesn't quit after the error message)

Well not impossible but it's damn hard because you have to make fine adjustments to get them in LOS then fire but you can only tap keys on a KB which makes the plane bounce where as a joystick you just pull back slowly.

Are you on vista? If so, to stop the error message from popping up, right click > run as administrator.
Make sure you're selecting Forgotten Battles from the list in hyperlobby and not IL-2.
Don't use hyperlobby. Use Xfire.
Why do I always land up flipping when taking off, and heading left when taxing?
