Is there a special way you have to connect to the server? Every time I try it times out. I have 4.08 installed and I am trying to connect via the in-game client.
Nope... did you put the pass in right?
Where am I supposed to put the password? It times out before it asks for it. Edit: Hang on, is the server up right now? I am going to try it again.
its up
Damn, it still won't connect. I don't need the AAA mod installed do I?
Nope, it's clientside.
How do i install the camera plane and where do i get it. Please help im a noob
Dammit! I have tried everything I can think of! - It's not the firewall - the server is up - It doesn't require mods - It's v4.08m - It's the steam version This sucks.
I don't have the steam version, but can I still join the server with the lobby exe?
As long as you have 1946, you're fine.
*Unless you are me. Edit: What is lobby?
Someone join!
Playing co-op on my server, if you want to join get in vent.
Hey guys i just got this game, and I've got the patch up and I've setup the hyper lobby client (I've been using xfire to connect to specific servers.) Is there anything I know/ get (such as mods)?
For any new players looking to play online right away, use light fighters, because fighters such as the P-51 are too advanced for newbies, and the P-47 is too heavy for new players looking for takeoff on high altitudes, so the Yak type planes are a good choice, and any new fighter/bombers should consider using the P-38, because of its speed and the amount of explosives it can carry. Please tell me of any flaws you see in this tutorial/ guide/ exercise for me to warm up my fingers.
My god, this thread reminded me how awesome this game was. REINSTALLING AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT!

I think it is an excellent fighter bomber because it is light, has 6 guns, and can carry tons of bombs.
Yak is not really a beginners plane, maybe the later versions. Would recommend 109 or Hurricane for learning how to fly and dogfight.

I like BF109s, FW190s and the Russian? Biplane with the 2 cannons.

I prefer the SBD when it comes to naval combat because it carries torpedoes, and it has a rear gunner, which is more helpful than meets the eye.
The corsair stalls alot if you don't know how to fly it. Not a begginer plane Try F4F or F6F
If you are into dog fighting that is
I use the Spitfire.
And I use the P47 usually
Spitfire is easy mode. 109's and 190's is where it's at.
So is it server side, or client side that determines what aircraft are playable?
Since I have AAA, you can see the planes anyways. You don't have a cockpit view and gun views and stuff like that.
So is it server side, or client side that determines what aircraft are playable?
Clientside, although other planes still show up.
