Also some funny ventrilo comments yesterday which I laughed my ass off at. For example when (I think it was TicTac's) plane's engine caught fire, and he was falling and used his extinguishers.
"Yeey thank god for extinguishers" *explodes on ground five seconds after*
And when I was chasing Longy's jet plane in my horribly slow and big TB-3 bomber and shooting him with the frontal gunners.
"He's.. he's chasing me.. I think it's Orkel.. he's chasing my jet in a TB-3.. this is ridiculous" (or something like that. I was actually getting closer to him, too, his plane for some reason was slower than normally)
Is the server running full sim? Limited fuel/ammo etc?
I usually play with everything on...well apart from complex engine management and overheats, can't be arsed with those..
I fancy coming in for a mess around with you guys.

When we played yesterday the server was half-real I think. There was overheating and such, and stalls, takeoffs, but I think blackouts were off. Limited ammo was on, too, which a few times resulted in me just hanging around behind the enemy planes with no ammo left and messing around with them. Cockpits were optional.

Trimming your aircraft is mainly used to keep your airplane flying in a straight line. For example, a single engined plane would pull off to one side as the engine spins, you can counter this effect by trimming your aircraft rudder/ailerons in the opposite direction to stop the turning, in a way it would make your aircraft fly slightly faster because the fastest line is always the straightest.
Also some wings create better lift than others, this is great for takeoff but once you reach higher speeds in the air, it can create a problem of the plane constantly wanting to pull upwards and eventually stalling the plane, to counter this, you would trim your elevators so that the plane would fly level.
Oh also you can feather/trim the props on some aircraft too which also counters engine rotation.

Played a bit on AAA server, killed two bombers at first and then when I was landing, a B-29 (huge) was going towards the side of the airstrip, right in front of my plane. And I had a speed of like 130 km/h, so I was almost stalling already (was going to touch down) but I had to pull up and I just BARELY glided over his wing, and then came hard down on the runway (due to the even lower speed) which broke my second wheel and crippled my propellor. But I got a normal landing out of it according to the game, and got full points for the kills <3
I'll start playing this once I get my joystick.
I see... 2 Finnish dudes here (Orkel & Lolburst), at least I (hopefully) got someone to play with.

B-29s are probably the sturdiest bombers in the game, I've emptied my entire Zero's 20mm and MG ammunitions on them at many occasions and they're still flying without any major problems whatsoever. But sometimes if I aim well I can saw off their aileron flaps from the tail rendering the plane unable to go up and down.
Have you guys heard about that B29 mod? It adds the two historical bombers that blowed up Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They also come with Fat Man and Little Boy bombs. Bad thing is the nukes look like shit.
