The sound barrier is around 1100 kph, no planes can reach is without crashing or blowing to pieces.
Check www.newegg.com for cheap parts if you have some cash to spend on it.
I know, I'm saving up.

I should make a video proving you wrong, I can already do that in a BI-6.
If you spawn at 10k feet and blast 110%, and climb at a low angle, you will get to around 20k feet in a few minutes.
After that just start going down, you should already be going at 1k km/h before you descend(Says on the speed bar you are going 300 or so, but if you go into the modern view it says 1k.)
When you go down, you are still at high altitude where the air is thinner, so you won't do the infamous BI-6 loss of control until around 5k feet.
You should already be going at 13k km/h before you start turning.

So really high in a b-6 k
Try that without invulnerability. I'll try it now.
Tried it. couldn't get above 900kmh, the dive stall affected me a 11000 meters.

Turn your engine off once you hit around 800, it should stop the stall
Doesn't work, the engines don't cause the stall anyway, they tail design does.

Just tried in a P-47 :V
Fell apart about a second after taking that pic.
Nearly made it, another 100 to 200 km/h to go.

I think people have made it to 30,000 metres.
That's three times the cruising height of a 747. :O
My pilot was killed during a clicmb, bout 6 minutes later I was around 29k meters
I got about 20k then I went down.
I took a screenshot earlier and I was going around 1200kmp. I'll post it somewhere. Maybe.
Try reaching the sound barrier without invulnerability.
With invulnerability I reached 1350 kph today.

so whoever made Il-2 never included the whole sound barrier-breaking feature?
Apearently not... But I was not using invulnerability and I was piloting the Mosquito.
Take a video of it, I want to see a wooden plane brake the sound barrier.
so whoever made Il-2 never included the whole sound barrier-breaking feature?
Because people don't break the sound barriers at level cruising speed or in dog fights.

I dont exactly like to upload stuff from this comp, as it takes anywhere from 1-2 hours. And this is the only comp that I have access to. But I will try, once I am able to load up Pacific Fighters.
Does anyone know how to get youtube to convert a Pacific Fighters video file to whatever kind of file youtube uses?

just play the track and record over it with fraps or something
Does anyone know why that bl-6 freak out?
When I try to dogfight, do any serious fights, it just freaks out and makes barrel rolls.
Is it something with my game, or is it problem with the plane?

Your game is obviously corrupt, please reinstall.
Did it several times.
When I fly with bl6 it goes straight, and then it does barrel rolls. Then need to shut down engine and slow down.
It pitch down with it's nose and most of the times that's the thing that kills me.
I'm sure he was being sarcastic. Barrel rolls? You mean frontflips. After you go a certain speed, it plummets.
Aww someone get on the server please.

I'm coming!

If you run just the small engine you're quite a bit less likely to suffer the nose-dive of death, and the damn thing is still insanely fast.
Once you hit 750kmh in the BI's you do a forward roll, caused by the design of the tail.
The barrelrolls during dogfights could also be because of a lack of rudder pedals. It happens to me with every plane.
Also does anyone have a link to Fraps?
