Are you serious? Two nights ago I was in an A20 in COOP and had no problem avoiding an AI controlled MC.205 that was on my six simply by entering a series of shallow turns. It was firing in wasteful 5 second bursts and aiming directly at me, resulting in all the shots falling just behind my plane, and it took 3 or 4 passes to even get a hit on me.
What skill level was the AI on? I'm talking about Ace since that's the only level that can somewhat put up a fight (and is actually better than some people I find online)

Ah actually I don't know since it was just some coop mission I'd joined, so I suppose it may have been unnaturally low.
I love playing those Pearl Harbor missions. I might have to start a coop server or something once I get the HD.

I'm packing this PC up for long term storage when/if I get my orders for my tour of duty.
I finally have the cash to get this, but now I'm torn between this and Thief: Deadly Shadows, which do I get? I'm unable to decide.
I don't think that it is too hard for a new person to handle a Bf-109, but it is how you shoot with it, and all you have to do is learn its properties, such as how it stalls, and such, and it will eventually grow on you. It has grown on me with some practice, and during fights, I usually either cripple my opponent's plane, or kill the pilot, or leak their tank, so they have to return to base. Not all about "lol u git lesser killz than me nub gtfo nub.", but it's mostly about teamwork.
I fly 109's and 190's only.
Don't get me started!

Server going down for now, I'm running a listen server and it's making my computer overheat. LOL, like plastic burning smells.

For some reason my game crashes to desktop on startup, when it says 5% loaded in the lower corner.

Well, just the AAA mod. Worked fine before, but now when I start it it just closes itself at 5%.
Does the same when I disable the mod.
Seems like the game is corrupted somehow, because even the uninstaller doesn't work and gives a fatal error when trying to uninstall.
Wow. I have no clue how to get rid of it if it's doing that.
What registry files do I need to remove in order to be able to install the game again. Every time I start the installer it immediately forces me to uninstall the game first, even though I can't (and removed the entire game folder by simply deleting because the uninstaller didn't work in the first place).

Never remove the files to uninstall the game. Go ahead and uninstall, and then reinstall where you want the game located. It happened to me before, so always use the uninstaller to uninstall IL-2.

Uninstaller didn't work. And still doesn't. That's why I deleted. It gave me a fatal error whenever I started it.
Are there any problems with the steam version?
I dont know if i should buy it off amazon or steam...
There really is no difference.
Well, I reinstalled it and patched it up and reinstalled my Joystick, now I just have to practise again.
