Can't you install in another folder? You have the retail version?
If anyone want to get into the game a bit more seriously, do some real teamwork. You might want to drop by the website of my squadron (II/JG54 'Gruenherz').

We fly coops, dogfights, and are also doing a bit of basic flight training. Which is probably very useful if you're a newbie. We have members from all over Europe and fly at 20:00 GMT on Tuesdays and Fridays. If you want to join in sometime, put a post on our forums or send me a PM.

No, I can't. The uninstall forcing comes immediately when I press "install" on the startup menu (the menu when you put the disk in). And yeah, I have retail.

Where do you practice? I would like to see you fail when you try a high speed turn with a B-17 and die.
Quick Battle is where I'm practising, though not facing the AI or anything, rather, for now, just throwing about different aircraft and see what their tolerances and limits are, once I'm again more familiar with how the handle, then I'll add in the maximum number of Ace enemy aircraft, mixing it up now and again with different ones and then once I can survive that, then I'll consider going online and seeing how I fare.
