I hate widescreens because once you go 16:10, you can't go back. I get slightly annoyed at 4:3 screens and I just hate 16:9 screens because they feel short.
True that. I'm dying (bolded for emphasis) to play IL-2 again. :C

I got this game for my Birthday, it's pretty fun. Also what do I need to download in the way of patches? Just one or all of them? I have only have vanilla and Forgotten battles
I got this game for my Birthday, it's pretty fun. Also what do I need to download in the way of patches? Just one or all of them? Stage 3 super chargers and fiddling around with your mixture will get you to 11,000 metres in no time at all.
Anyone who wants to know, IL-2 can run on any system that was made after 2000, since the graphics requirements are so low, but I need some practice as I was at a local gaming event in my town and I was too tired to handle the stick without violently veering off on co-op missions, killing my team, but I will be better sooner or later.

The stock is, not that.
What's a good dive bombing plane?
What's a good dive bombing plane?
There's the Ju-87, SBD, and D3A1 I believe, but I prefer the Ju-87 since the dive siren sounds fucking awesome.
i like the single engine planes, pretty epic, and a challenge xD i like the mustang or yak-9ut :P
I'll have to try them out once/if I fix my HD.
ya, its pretty epic....
There's the Ju-87, SBD, and D3A1 I believe, but I prefer the Ju-87 since the dive siren sounds fucking awesome.
I like the SBD, it's fun to land on carriers.
I remember when I forgot that I changed the Arresting Hook's binding... hilarity ensued when I plowed into the deck.
I remember when I forgot that I changed the Arresting Hook's binding... hilarity ensued when I plowed into the deck.
I remember the one time we played with carriers on your server you nuked one
I did it like twice then attempted to take off.
Sorry if it was mentioned, but how do I get this to work with a 360 controller? Don't want to just label it is shit just because I can't figure it out, seems like a pretty promising game.
I did it like twice then attempted to take off.
You gotta fix your hdd! I would think i would get alot more active in Il2, and possibly actually get a kill (other than Longy that is). (Man, my post seem so "empty" with out emots)
Get a Joystick.
Controllers have two sticks on it, I'm not spending more money for a game if there's a way to get it working as is.
Controllers have two sticks on it, I'm not spending more money for a game if there's a way to get it working as is.
It should work automatically. I use one and it's great.
Controllers have two sticks on it, I'm not spending more money for a game if there's a way to get it working as is.
The joysticks is two sticks in one stick. D: I used to use a gamepad, was a bitch to aim but otherwise an okay way to play IL2. Once I got my joystick, I started shooting shit out of the sky. Edit: Also, in my short time playing IL2. I learned about superchargers, mixtures and shit like that.
It should work automatically. I use one and it's great.
Well I plugged it in, only thing I can really do is shoot and look around...
I'm sure gamepads can work perfectly well but it would be a huge immersion killer for me. Joystick is just... *right*.
