Just imagine an electric drill, when you set it to full speed and pull the trigger, you can feel the force turning the drill itself to the left. That's why I prefer planes with counter rotating blades or jet engines. With the exception of the J2M, which can reach 10, 000 metres in under 10 minutes. Also, the Me-410 has a bitch of a flutter effect.

Raise, speed up, repeat.

I've noticed that you cant fly wiht one wing, with the exception of the Storch.

Lower pitch yields better acceleration and climb rate, higher prop pitch yields higher top speed and fuel economy. Experiment with the best settings for climbing/cruise, there's a certain threshold of high prop pitch in which the engine will bog down, so don't try to set the highest pitch thinking it will give you the most speed.
