Anyone wanna join up on a random server with no people?
You're pulling back too much. Pull back about half as much as you currently are.
Ah. Ok that makes sense since I get excited once I can actually get the plane off the ground and try not to crash by pulling up.

Another tip: Don't get too excited when you are about to fire upon another plane. When you do this, you start swaying all over the place, and depending on the plane, push yourself into a stall. Be as calm as possible, and keep a steady hand.

I tend to do this as well. If I'm not lined up with a guy I try and spiral or full rudder to were I might be able to hit him. I usually don't stall though, I usually only stall when trying to evade a guy.
Hmm

I've experienced this so much. After a long and grueling aerial display I finally get then enemy in my sights, but I'm so excited I end up messing up and just waste a whole barrage of cannon and machine gun fire into the ground.
Is there something like a stunts server?

Strangely, this happens to me only hen I'm in a Ta-152H. I can take down anything in Bf-109, and I'm barely experienced with anything, which is also strange. The weirdest thing that happens is that as soon as I kill an enemy from close up, if it explodes, the only thing that falls off is a gear wheel.
I think I've taken a liking to the Yak and the FW... I get but butt raped on the AAA server though. Though I won my first dogfight using a Tempest and shot down my first bomber in an FW. The Yak just feels pretty good to fly and has a nose cannon, seems to fall apart pretty easy at higher speeds though : / .
You guys should try the P-51. That plane rapes!
Try to gain as high altitude as you can before combat. If you have a fast plane and you're getting chased by a slower plane, don't try to turn away. Don't use Zero for learning plane.
That's some tips, but there are alot of tactics, and it would take alot of time. I suggest you first try to learn to fly stable and have controll. You also have to learn how to take off and land. When you have a good grip on that, then you can start learning dogfight tactics. You can look up on the internet to find some really nice sites that shows real manouvers planes uses.
Alrighty, thanks. I'm just starting to get the hang of it. My first couple of tries to take off were horrible. Hah.
Someone host
How do I start flying my plane? I always turn to the left and crash and flip over.
You guys should try the P-51. That plane rapes!
That is, if you can fly it correctly. :p

Slowly pull up when you reach 200 km/h.
Get in Vent. :p
Also, Erectin' a server!
I'm really liking the Yak anyone know any downsides to it?

It is one of the easiest planes to put into a stall, next to flimsy bombers and bi-planes.
I just bought this game. At first I was kinda turned off by the realism.
That's until I made a custom game with easy settings. I flew around in a Spitfire and shot at some bombers. :)

Fly planes such as the Bf-109 until it grows onto you, and you have 50% of the online play right there, the other 50% is the strategy.

Don't do that, it just makes you worst at flying online.
You get so used to the unrealistic settings that you start to be vigorous with the controls and you would have to practically relearn flying all over again on the harder settings which almost all servers have.
Hehe, I sniped a P-39D1's tail off at 600m in my 190.
Good times.

It bleeds off speed like crazy in turns, but that's all that I know of.

No wonder you're so good at this. You fly model planes in real life. D:
Too bad I can't do that kinda stuff here in Singapore.
Wheres the server?
Why can't i start the engine in some of the bigger planes?

You need to set keys to "Toggle Engine 1, 2, 3, 4, so on so forth" and turn them on individually.
This is only if the server has 'Complex Engine Management' turned on.

No, it's called "separate engine start"
