That fucker hurt my ears and scared me shitless, the Stuka's siren and drop horn didn't sound nearly as loud.

The He-111 doesn't have a dive brake let alone a siren as far as I know.
Did it hit? :V
yeah. turns out it was a friendly ship too

Any good planes for beginners? I use the spitfire and it seems to stall out very easily for me when I do a slight turn.
Me downing a B29 in a tempest. Using a smoke visuals mod.
That would totally be my wallpaper if it were in a higher resolution/AA settings turned on. Beautiful pic!
Any good planes for beginners? I use the spitfire and it seems to stall out very easily for me when I do a slight turn.
Try the hurricane, if you're still stalling in that thing, it's pilot error.
Any good planes for beginners? I use the spitfire and it seems to stall out very easily for me when I do a slight turn.
Spitfire is E-Z mode. Especially the Mk9 version. All planes will do that spin if you pull back too hard so you just have to slowly pull back on the stick and after a while you'll get used to when the specific plane your flying is about to stall and you'll do it a lot less.
Someone should put up some cool screenshots. I don't play IL-2, but that doesn't mean I don't want to see media!
I <3 my 109.
Why do people not want noobs to fly the 109? I'm sort of a noob, since I don't play that often, but I do pretty damn well with it, and the most damage I've ever experienced with it during a successful dogfight, is a fuel tank leak, causing me to drop out of action for a while. Can someone enlighten me?
109's are generally out classed by most aircraft. If you have a 109G6 then they will have a Spit9. Spit9 out speeds, out climbs, out turns and dives the same as the 109 due to the gey flight model. So if you are new to the game then you should ofcourse fly the spit9 and not the 109.
Is everyone playing Empire: Total War or what? Quiet thread is quiet. :(
I lost interest in the game. Played only one time as a ground attack plane in AAA before leaving.
I remember seeing you in TicTac's server. What?
You have shit memory. =/
How can you be bored of IL2? D: Also, I just ordered X52 Pro joystick! :D
How can you be bored of IL2? D: Also, I just ordered X52 Pro joystick! :D
Cool. :) I'm afraid that if I commit too much money into a joystick, it'll just find itself in a cupboard. That's why I got myself a cheap-o one. =/
I use my joystick nearly every day, so it'll be worth it for me :)
All I play anymore really is Battleground Europe (I fly mostly) and IL2. I've got an X52 Pro and CH Pro pedals and I'm building a whole new rig and buy Track Ir because I enjoy flying in those games so much. I either don't do something or I over do it :P
I can't play often during the weeks since school so this game is still not boring for me.
Sorry about me not hosting, I'm quite busy with school.
I'll host a server if someone could point me to a updated linux server
I just got my Logitech Extreme 3D pro! This rocks! Yeah!
I just bought this off steam and I can't download it because everyone is being nuts over UT3 and downloading it like crazy. >: (
I just bought this off steam and I can't download it because everyone is being nuts over UT3 and downloading it like crazy. >: (
Oh god... I'm installing XP on my new comp and have to download all of my steam games this weekend :(
I just bought this off steam and I can't download it because everyone is being nuts over UT3 and downloading it like crazy. >: (
Heh, I bought and downloaded it yesterday, no problem there at all. Although my UT3 download isn't going to finish for a while. I just bought it and paid for the download and some leechers were hogging all the steam server's bandwidth. I ordered a new joystick for IL-2 as well, Saitek AV8R (I know...) for the sole reason of it having so cool knobs and switches. :V

They look awesome and all the switches are kewl but it isn't a very good joystick to be honest.
I have this terrible joystick with a GF symbol on it and it has 4 buttons and a hat switch. No rudder or anything so I use my left and right mouse buttons for that. It's a miracle whenever I shoot something down.
Hehe. Just buy something cheap and shit like the Saitek Evo.
Saitek Evo is shit? I've been using mine for ages and it still works perfectly.
