Use XFire, you just have to browse IL-2 to the correct installation folder.
Use XFire, you just have to browse IL-2 to the correct installation folder.
don't need xfire I fixed it :D
Oh. :P I tried and I couldn't fix it.
You're meant to click log out in Hyper Lobby so you can select another game. Also, even though we're playing IL2 1946 you need to select IL2 Forgotten battles as the game.
I have been playing online alot now, I don't have a joystick but I am getting one tomorrow so atleast I can have some fun. I learned how to take off within about an hour.
I've only got Pacific Fighters right now, but I'm picking up 1946 tomorrow. 1946 includes all the expansions, right?
Yes, it does.
Yes, it does.
Cool. I'm sick of not being able to blast 109s.
Now if only my grandparents ( legal guardians ATM) would buy it for me...
Now if only my grandparents ( legal guardians ATM) would buy it for me...
It's rated T and it's ten dollars... are you 5 or something?
Im 12 and my grandparents wont buy it because they hate video games altogether.
Im 12 and my grandparents wont buy it because they hate video games altogether.
Oh ok.
Im 12 and my grandparents wont buy it because they hate video games altogether.
Erm... Okay.
Ok, my dad is on the way back and he got a joystick for 44$ it has a twist rudder and throttle :)
The joystick is great, it is and aviator joystick it looks like a real plane control :D
How hard is the game with keyboard and mouse? Also, are there a bunch of people that play?
How hard is the game with keyboard and mouse? Also, are there a bunch of people that play?
You will shoot near to nothing, but it's still playable. And yes, there are a whole lot of people playing. Use Xfire to view the servers.
How hard is the game with keyboard and mouse? Also, are there a bunch of people that play?
You should put the game on easy or else you will spin or stall.
You should put the game on easy or else you will spin or stall.
Doing that will just lengthen the already long and arduous learning curve further.
How hard is the game with keyboard and mouse? Also, are there a bunch of people that play?
Fly planes like the zero and you will be fine. The problem with a keyboard is that you can't aim accurately. So you will end up waiting till the last moment to strike.
Buy a joystick. There isn't really that much point playing IL2 without a joystick.
Also, the Zero is crap anyway, so you want to be able to fly different planes than that.
Fly planes like the zero and you will be fine. The problem with a keyboard is that you can't aim accurately. So you will end up waiting till the last moment to strike.
What is the zero's full name?
What is the zero's full name?
A6M. It was actually called Zeke, and not Zero by the Allies. Zero was the Japanese name of it.
I had a joystick then it got thrown away by my parents Are there like any how-to guides or tutorials for the game or should i just try to learn it by myself?
You should put the game on easy or else you will spin or stall.
I use the keyboard and don't spin or stall 90% of the time, and I only do that 10% of the time because someone shot my controls to hell.... @hax- I would try to help you learn, but I cant host servers, and there aren't any tutorials for keyboard flying that I know of... But then I never really checked.
If anyone can find the SU-26 mod for IL2, then you will scream from waiting for the REAL one in BoB. It turns out that there is all of the code and an FM for an Su-26 in IL2: 1946, but no model, so someone put all the code onto an IAR-80 model and cockpit. I just found it from a French forum, and I can't wait until after school tomorrow to FINALLY do some co-op aerobatics.

Love this plane.
It might be the plane itself, that happens to me with a few Jap planes.
