Disappointed by what?
Oh and before you say singleplayer, the singleplayer part of the game is horrible to be honest. As in most games it's all in the multiplayer.
I bought it but I still have to find my Joy stick. It's probably in my closet somewhere.

Get AAA and play online using Xfire.
I might host, anyone up for some coop? :D
I would, but IL2 likes to crash my computer. It's really annoying because we are going over the battle of britain in hitory and I REALLY want to play in a spitfire.
I don't get it.
How do you not get that?
Oh wait, you only have Pacific Fighters. :v:
Grrr. I just got the game, I followed the tutorial on how to take off, got my joystick ready did everything it said. I get to 100 km/ph and I don't get enough lift and i end up exploding

I refer to the TB-3 as the Ghetto Bomber, and just about nothing else.
I don't get it.
TB-3 flies at around 130 km/h, the ME-163 is a fucking rocketplane flying at around 600 km/h

The takeoff speed is different for every plane. But 100 is really too low for almost every plane! Let it go more, and use flaps (Set to "Take Off"). Then start pulling softly once the tail goes up.
I lol'd hard at that picture.
Good takeoff speed is about 200-240Kph in most 109's.
If you're trying to go for a really hard 3 points landing then you come in at 140Kph.
a good takeoff speed would be one where you actually take off instead of veering off to the right/left and into the adjacent runway.

Use the rudder to stop going off the runway. More speed isn't going to fix that.

Rudder, prop trim.
God damn it, I want this game. I forgot to buy it.
I'll go to the local supper market to check out wether they have the game.
So it's not free? Forget that.
So it's not free? Forget that.
are you crazy?
of course it's not free, but totally worth the money with AAA installed
It's 10 dollars on steam yo.
So it's not free? Forget that.
You were expecting a boxed game to be...free? Hurf.
So it's not free? Forget that.
Sorry to say, but most good games aren't free.
Am I the only one who on takeoff speeds up to 60km/h, lets it settle in a straight line, then ramps it up to full thottle? Works great if you still haven't learned to use pitch and trim.

I don't bother trimming anything. I usually get onto the runway, then hold the brakes while I throttle up..floor it, let go and just balance with rudder movement...usually works for me.
I mostly use the method on planes that have a lot of torque. Mainly the P-51, Spit XIVe, Tempest, and Sea Fury.
Wow.. Steam is ripping people off. They are selling Pacific Fighters for 20 dollars and 1946 for 10 dollars.
Ripping idiots off maybe?
