My Wallmart is doing that too. Except they sell everything but the two that come exclusively with 1946 at $20 and 1946 for $9.50. It's crap!
I wonder if anyone actually bought Pacific Fighters off Steam..

My friend did, but that was before 1946 came out.
Is it worth getting this game if I have no intention of ever buying a joystick? Or will I be bitterly disappointed? Is it even playable with a mouse and keyboard?
You can't fly with a mouse.
You can use it to look around though. Which is useful if you don't know where you are getting shot at from exactly.

This game isn't worth buying if you don't want to have or don't have a joystick.
You could also use a 360 controller if you have one..
You could also use a 360 controller if you have one..
Umm... No, just. No.
It's what I use...
Same, but I only have P.F. so I think it is a little bit different.
How do you have it set up with a 360 controller?
How do you have it set up with a 360 controller?
I think you either plug it into your computer directly or go buy the wireless USB adapter made by Microsoft.
What I meant is what do you bind the controls to?
HOTAS? I used to play with a gamepad, I had the left analog stick binded to rudder/elevator and the right to the ailerons.
Warning: It is highly recommended that you purchase a joystick before buying this game.

I have the pro, it's fucking awesome for flying. Mix it with trackIR and it's win, win.
You could also use a 360 controller if you have one..
Peace bro, 360 controller is way to go! I am flying with one, too, and I am actually pretty good at it! Killed 18 people with a Ju-87 (Stuka) without dieing on a Dogfight server! [editline]11:38AM[/editline]
How do you have it set up with a 360 controller?
Aileron and Elevator to left analog stick, Rudder to LT/RT, Power +/- to LB/RT, Shooting to A + X Rockets to B, Bombs to Y Change Gunsight/normal view to Start, Breaks to right Analog-stick-button, View around with the pad between the analog sticks. It's easy as shit to fly like that!
Awesome bro.

That means I'm nerdier than anyone will ever dream of being.
Nah, I'm pretty nerdy. I've got the full CH-Products HOTAS and TrackIR4. One of my better investments. It's funny how I can be one of the slowest interceptors on the game (A6M) and STILL kill like a pro.

Yes...
I think all the attention is at Infiniminer and all the other block mining games.
I suck at this game... Even after buying a joystick...
