I'm trying to think of like, a public announcement which starts "Attention Citizens: (something about conmen scamming money from people) In light of this recent criminal activity, we have blocked all communications with New New Nigeria." But I can't think of anything funny to put :/

i would honestly leave PSA type stuff to TH89/Uberslug as it's originally their concept and story and it isn't the community's purpose to build around the story in any way by creating PSAs involving possible places to visit, characters (like vote ____ for president for example) and the like. Doing a PSA that says "doing space drugs is bad" may be viable, however
sticking to advertisements is probably the way to go. i'd hate to see you guys make some ads that are pretty good looking but become unusable solely because they create controversy with the game.
but don't take my word for it.

As long as they are kept mostly vague, I think it doesn't matter what we put in it. Obviously you don't want something to conflict with the setting, which is still largely unknown to anyone but the mods themselves.

The ads are just map detail props. I can't be arsed to make tons of different ads, so I'm letting the community do something too.
it's also a social experiment to see how intelligent the fan base is
you're all a bunch of uncreative, unoriginal jerkfaces who are too busy throwing in memes and dumb jokes to create anything decent so do me a favor and play some adventure games and come back with creativity for adventure games and not jokes for thick people who only laugh because it was meant to be funny and is not actually funny at all

ask yourself this while making them: would this likely be shown on a billboard in the real world? is it high quality? is it coherent? does it leave a message? if you answer yes to all of these then you're OK

Specifically, the color scheme (blue, red, green, gray, and orange-brown) isn't nice to look at, your text is off-center, you have two versions of the logo on either side for no apparent reason, the whole thing is jagged and aliased, and I'm pretty sure Buy'n'large is the company from WALL-E.
